Tonight, we have a British puzzle-platformer going up against an EA/Activision action-adventurer. Though they may be forgotten, D-Pad's will has resurrected them for a duel of the ages! Which game would you "Get over here!" to play? Which game would you let freeze in sub-zero temperatures?

No disrespect but Mad Professor Mario looks like legit TRASH. Reminds me of all the generic stuff I used to play on my Master System.

LBA series is legit a forgotten gem. Anyone outside of Europe even heard of that game? LBA 2 is one of the earliest if not the earliest 3D open world game with day and night cycle. It was immersive as fuck back in the day. Ocarina bows to LBA 2

In Brazil it came bundled with Creative multimedia kits and later was included on a popular PC magazine.

It blows my mind how little recognition this game got, so damn good and charming.

I figured they were more popular outside the USA. I've not heard of either game before they were mentioned here.

For background - it's a fairly 8-bit style platformer in a way, reminiscent of the likes of Imogen on the Speccy, but it's gorgeous graphically with the computer themed lab with walking joysticks and floppy disks, the chemistry lab with molecules, the biology lab with vicious cabbages and carrots and man eating plants, and so on. There's an emphasis on puzzles rather than pure platforming, so to go onto the roof you need to get warm which means you need to get some cereal and milk, warm it in the microwave, and equip the cereal when you go up. Or you need to activate a machine with a chip so you need a bucket of sand and a divers helmet - you pour the bucket of sand into the vacuum chamber, and go in wearing a diving helmet to retrieve the chip to activate the machine. As a kid I loved it, and you've probably noticed it's been my avatar basically forever. It's a game close to my heart - I remember playing it with my dad - basically the only time he was ever nice. The rest of the time he was a drunk/druggy arsehole. A special game.

Still too close to call a winner so I'll let this run a little longer.

Went with Mariarti. I'm a sucker for the graphics.

And also, every time I look at the name of the game, I see Professor "Martini" and I like martinis.

Yep it's just got a certain ridiculous charm to it that makes it so special.

This is straight up one of the most unnapealing character designs I've ever seen. This muppet is irritating to look at.
