(C) Juan Archuleta (25-2-0) vs Sergio Pettis (20-5-0)

Maybe not the biggest list of names, but there are at least a half dozen great fights here. Henrey Corrales on the prelims is pretty dope. Super sad that Yoel couldn't get medical clearance. Was excited for his match with Rumble. Unless he has lost hisedge in his years away, I look forward to Rumble murdering Jose Barros and moving on to face Nemkov in the next round of the LHW GP.

As you said, real bummer that Yoel is out. Either way, this is a good card. Hope that Pettis can deliver a good performance. Always liked watching him fight ind the WEC and UFC. But he was too inconsistent, unfortunately.

Rumble is the only reason I'd even consider paying for this. Glad it's not another freak show PPV by Bellator though.

Bellator doesn't really do PPV(in the US at least), which is why I prefer it to UFC. You just pay for Showtime $10/month and you get two Bellator fight cards (and Showtime content). Yea UFC has their "Fight pass" and then there is the ESPN+ app... but neither get you the big fights. You still have to buy a PPV.

That's why I subscribe to what ever platform Bellator is on (previously DAZN) and go to a bar or friends house if there is a UFC fight I have to see live.

Plus I love that Bellator is doing tournaments again. As a massive Pride FC fan, I love me a good Grand Prix. There are two GPs going on right now in Bellator. Both with solid talent.

All the matches are locked and only one person missed weight. The Spaniard is looking good and like his chances on defending the belt against Pettis.

Well damn, that uppercut dropped Henry Corrales! He was looking great. Round one was close, but I had it for Corrales and he was definitely in control of reigns 2.... til that wicked uppercut from Campbell. And Campbell was quick to jump on him and put pressure. Good rear naked choke by Campbell.

Holy sheet! That kick from MVP was nasty! Broke Derek Anderson's nose. Like straight flattened the bridge... ooof that looks painful. And the following half dozen jabs on the mush must have been painful. Anderson is super tough.... but MVP schooled him like he was a third grader.

And that's why elbows shouldn't be legal and kicks to down opponents should. Pitbull was winning that fight in a big way.... and looses to a cut on top of his head from an elbow from the bottom. Pitbull shouldn't have gone cheap on his cut man.

That's some excitement!!! Augusta breaks his right hand and continues with just his left.... and almost knocks out Rumble with his left while getting stalked. My heart was racing as I screamed Oh my god!!!! That's more than I expected for a late replacement.

and then Rumble puts his lights out in the start of round 2. Huge right hand.

Edit: lol that reaction when Rumble saw that he was not only rocked but knocked down. He must have been out on his feet cuz he had no memory of it.

2 Rounds in Archulleta vs Pettis is super close. Probably giving the slight edge to Pettis. Both are throwing heavy leather and missing by hairs.

Probably give round 3 to Achuleta. But only barely. I think the winner here will be by the most minor mistake getting caught. Great fight.

Round 4 was all Pettis. He tagged Juan every time he came inside. Those counter rights looked like they were landing clean. Juan has to knock out Pettis in rd 5 or he is gonna lose the belt.

Pettis just had Achuletas number and landing those counter rights. Consistently

I'm super late to the party, but man, some good fights there! Brutal display by Rumble, he's such a beast.

And Pettis looked good, but it wasn't an easy fight. Bellator has got some talent!
