Thread: Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden |OT| Hostile bought it
Finished the game today, pretty close to the 60 hour mark. It did over stay its welcome for the final third. There wasn't really an plot twists, certainly nothing like the amazing one I predicted lol. There were a few quests right at the end that slipped into woke agendas pretty heavily, but overall it was less than 1% of the entire game, so whatever. It's a shame this game likely won't see a sequel, because with a few improvements it could be right up their with its inspirations.

Overall I'd give it a 4/5 stars, so a very good game, but just shy of true greatness.

I was playing on Hard initially, then medium. The optional early encounters were more when I was using parry alot. As of the last few hours I feel like I'm pretty powerful on medium, im very rarely using parrys as I have very strong buffs that encourage certain tactics. Conbat at first feels rather clunky, but as you unlock different attacks (and a gun) it becomes alot better. The two person dynamic is rather fun, swapping in and out of combat. Generally the man can significant'y hurt the spirits and the women, the monsters.

Wrapped up one area, got transported away. Was meant to go onwards on my journey but decided to go back and a load more ghost investigations had opened up. With that and all the new areas you can open up it really rewards expoloration and return visits.
How are the towns/villages and weapon/armor?combat upgrades?

Three towns after the Intro, along with all the surround areas. Weapons/armour I didn't change much as once you have found the perk you like, its better to just keep leveling up that item. Combat upgrades are quite decent but not really numerous.

There's a lot of optional areas and secrets within secrets. You could do just the main missions, or the optional ghost stories and even after that opional quests with the survivors of the optional ghost stories lol.

I was just kidding like Jason. Mista also bought and enjoyed the game. Since then though he has taken a vow of silence and won't back me up!

Thanks! Will definitely give it a try.

Worth a shot if you like those types of games. It will be interesting what they chose to do for the demo as the game becomes a lot more fun once you get more skills and upgrades. Remember to report back to the other unbelievers! :)

50% off on Steam right now!

I'd pick it up if I wasn't already playing multiple huge games right now.

I legit forgot that this game existed. I'm going to grab it and start playing it immediately.

… what was this game called again?

The game is a super Bomba, all time high concurrent Steam players was 3.8k. since then hovering between 100 and 400, the discount had basically no effect.

Which is weird because it had some valuable DEI consultancy for maximum commercial success. I'm a bit baffled why it didn't own the Chuds.
