Keynote is starting in about an hour and a half at 10 a.m. PDT.

I've got a MacBook Pro 16" from 2020, so I won't be upgrading any time soon, but I'm excited to see what kind of power they can bring with their own chips.

Anyone else care about Apple shit?

I can't watch these shows live, far too much faffing around and self agrandising bollocks. They could be a 5th of the length, yet still 10 times as informative without the big, dumb performance.

Saying that, I am looking to get the wide a Machook at some point. It's just annoying they don't make anything that quite matches all that she needs. If they could just make a Macbook air with a touchscreen/pencil support, or give the Ipad Pro tge full MacOS, it would be easy, buy no....

Some cool text recognition tech for photos being implemented in iOS. This will be pretty damn useful.

Oh shit, lots of object recognition stuff, too.

RIP all of those plant/flower recognition apps if this works well.

Great. So now in addition to having access to all my photos, they will be creating a DB of "tags" based on my photos attached to me. Totally wont be used for marketing or other nefarious ends. Remember most every convenience come with a cost.

Not that I trust them, but I haven't seen any evidence that Apple sells user data to advertisers.

I'll happily take the enhanced functionality in this particular case. I already use their iCloud service as my main photo repository (over 500GB and counting).
