What an awful answer but in fairness he probably hasn't sit down and watched all of season 8. To understand why fans wernt happy comes down to nearly 100% writing issues which might be hard to pick up on day to day filming.

Shit like this has me wondering if the supposed Culture War is actually just corporations doing the groundwork for future marketing that will basically be "if you don't like Product X then you must be some kind of racist".

So many entertainment franchises are marketed this way now that it can't be seen as just random actors mouthing off.

He is pretty much implying here that if you disliked the ending of GoT, especially if you are vocal about it, then you must be some kind of racist.

The writing was awful, it went from serious literature-worthy writing to Hollywood-hack-level writing. The skin color of the characters never even crossed my mind. But of course I'm not woke so I'm not racist.
