Settle down. The site rules are here I suggest you refresh yourself on them fully before assuming you're above them. No one is coming to this site to get abused or harangued by you simply for happening to like a game that you don't.
It would only be tone policing if we didn't allow any such discussion. Where a game is divisive then it makes sense to have two separate threads. An OT wherein people who want to talk about a game can, and an Off-topic where people who want to attack it (or the devs or whatever) in their own thread for those who care for it.
Let's steer the thread back to talking about the game versus backtalk from here on in.

For what it's worth, most reviewers seem to agree that magic is the most well done part of the combat, so I'm definitely going to try that route.
Weird how the ones always calling others cucks/fags etc.... Always turn out to be thin skinned manbabies who cry and shriek when things don't go their way.

I'm just about done with the first location. What did you think about the second location? I've read mixed things about it.

Calling it a day today but I finally finished everything in the first location and now I'm in the second. I kinda get why some are more down on this location than the first since it's more flat and swampy but it looks great at nighttime.

It's a shame this game doesn't have a photo mode
Seems like Nanite and Lumen are being used to great effect here. Hardly a noticeable drop in detail over large distances at all.

Is there some color lost in HDR transition or game looks like that? Seems kind of grey.

Can you launch the game via Steam? That screenshot feature works well even with HDR, avoiding that washed out look.

Yeah but you can add games from other launchers to the Steam library, launching them via Steam and then you have all the Steam features like taking the correctly colored screenshots.

It doesn't need to show up, I just used the screenshot button that I assigned in the Steam options and it worked for the games that I tested it with. But honestly, don't know if it works with games from the Xbox app being launched because I never used that.

When I press F12 it takes me to the Xbox gamebar but it doesn't save my screenshots on the Steam folder. Sorry you guys will just have to take my word it looks a lot better in person on a HDR screen. Hopefully, someone here will pick up the game on Steam xD

The vibe I am getting from more independent reviewers etc is that the game is pretty ordinary but is ideal for Gamepass since you don't actually have to buy it.
Massive performance issues is certain parts of the game and reviewers had been contracted to not show those parts of the game. When the developer bans people from showing footage from areas of the game that run like shit, there's a problem.
Hearing about crashes, corrupted save files, framerate issues.
I suppose if you ignore all the bad parts the game might be pretty good. Seems unlikely though.
Maybe play it on easy mode like a little bitch so you can get through it more quickly.

He was asking if the game was "gay". In my 10+ hour playthrough so far I haven't witnessed anything woke aside from the pronoun at the character creation but you can disable that as an option. The godlike is also weird but entirely optional and you don't have to see it. It's a far cry from the woke fest that is dragon age.
I never claimed the game is perfect and the crashing is an problem for me but for me im enjoying the game enough to look past those issues. The exploration and combat is better than anything from Bethesda i played

It just looks to me like an ordinary XBox Game Studios game that you play when you are waiting for an actual good game to come out.
Skyrim was 14 years ago and the best they've managed to come up with as an iteration on the genre is that it looks a bit more colorful.
Dialgue options appear to be shit.
Again, Skyrim was a long time ago and this game obviously touts itself as a bit of a homage/update but it just seems to have less scope, less stakes and less fun.
XBox Game Studios have massive potential with some of the developers under them but they just seem to churn out uninspiring slop.

He's probably just a representative of the kind of player the game was aimed at. Modern, undemanding of anything save graphics.
Personally, I've seen comparisons, and I probably wouldn't stand to play this for much longer than it takes to get through the tutorial. If it has one. Open-world RPGs can be bad enough when they actually try to be open-world. It's much worse when all they do is pretend.
