Thread: Do people irl know youre on dpad?
Most of my friends/family know I'm on a forum that caters to gaming and discussions about it and other hobbies. They only know about it because I reference d-pad when context is needed. I refer to d-pad as "a forum I'm apart of" though.

There's nothing to be ashamed of that should qualify it as a "guilty pleasure".

I don't think it would be that big of a deal.

D-Padder: "Hello person I know IRL, I post on a video game forum called D-Pad."

Friend: "OK. What do you post about?"

D-Padder: "We make fun of transgenders, Resetera and Chloe Grace Moretz."

Friend: "...Alrighty then..."

I see your point.

Even friends I've known for decades kinda don't even know what a forum like this is. They know reddit and twitter and shit like that.

But a slow-form discussion space like this would baffle them even 10-15 years ago. People I know probably assume I spend time looking at retards dancing on tiktok for 3 hours straight like they do.

Friend: "ARFF ARFF"

They do but they don't care. Most people like said earlier are all about muh reddit and muh twitter. They just don't get the intimacy of a close knit forum.

You don't present D-Pad as a Chloe Grace Moretz enthusiast forum?

I thought better of you.
