I like Idiocracy and it feels more and more like a documentary. But Sicario is such a good movie, enjoyed it a lot.

I really liked Sicario. That border crossing scene was bad ass. So it breaks my heart to vote for Idiocracy…. But I have to. It's so prophetic that it's almost demoralizing. Luckily it's also funny as hell.

Is it the better film… no. But it's the better overall product.

Sicario looks cool but I think I like the crazy comedy of Idiocracy better. I like the realism portrayed in Idiocracy, where the future is not some imaginary wonderful place but is actually more flawed and relatable.
Also President Terry Crews is to good to pass up, he is a great comedic actor and I think he does a good job portraying a President of an idiotic society.

The thing is: for the past 20 years, I've heard elitist know-it-alls say "Idiocracy is not a prediction of the future, you're silly". Those voices have gotten a hella lotta more quiet nowadays.

I stay by that Idiocracy is more realistic than most want to admit, and right now, it's absolutely the direction our society is heading towards.
