I'm not playing games. I'm gonna go get another job.

To clarify, you wouldn't put MGS2 in your top 30? Say it isn't so!?

Neither would MGS3, neither PS2 MGS game would make my list. I don't like em as much as the other games in the series. Also, I have 30+ other PS2 games I would pick ahead of them, that's all I'm saying. I still own copies of those games and I'll probably replay them a few times before I die but they're not favorites.

yeah I'm mentally retarded.

FFX/MGS2/Tony Hawk

2 of the greatest games of all time and a sports game that never gets old... big W

Its not sarcasm and its not incorrect. It is a bad game that came out in a period where people were practically taking what they can get. I mean I played plenty of snk's neogeo fighting games and capcom fighters from the 90s but that particular game is one of the worst games capcom has released. At the time period when capcom was crapping out a bunch of bad fighting games that game came along as the one that was bad enough to be fun for a while. The sprites were recycled from the previous games and the game itself was just designed poorly resulting in a unbalanced mess of a fighter.

I'm basing this on popularity, longevity, tourney scene, skill ceiling, and fun factor. Using those metrics, I'm not sure how you can call this one of the worst fighters ever released. Capcom is pretty famous for copy/pasting their sprites so that's a non-issue IMO. Marvel being a completely inadvertent broken mess is what made it fun to play and to watch. That was the whole charm to it. I'm not even a Marvelhead and some of the most entertaining early-mid 2000's Evo vids were of Marvel.

Some people seem to think that just cause they fail at a game or that its gameplay doesnt click with them that the game MUST be shit.

Its crap competitively most of the guys can't even keep up with the game and the american fgc will play anything capcom makes and disregard all the other games made by everyone else and most videos I've seen are really just people Its pretty crap competitively too with the same 5 characters dominating the meta you could slice out half the roster and nothing would be gone. Maybe it was entertaining for people to watch but I mean entertaining now? Not really most of the good games from that era are being resurrected. but as a casual game its fun you get to play as superheros and morrigan and megaman its best played in that fashion.

MVC2
MGS2
FFX, just to laugh out how fuckin annoying that game is and wonder why FF turned to shit with FFX and never really improved after outside of the stellar FFXII.....then I'd turn that bullshit off and play more MVC2 and MGS2.

For my money, I'm picking FFX and MGS2. I know I'm getting a lot of hours for my dollars on these two. Some close runner ups would be DQ8 and GTA San Andreas.

I hear really good things about Timesplitters 2. The rest are just not my cup of tea. None of the God of War games have ever really appealed to me. The other games shown here all feel like late PS2 games that carry that PS360 flavor, which is where I really started to not like games as much. Too much of the tinted piss filter and everything looking brown for my taste.

MGS 2 and NFSU2 but unsure on the 3rd one being either Timesplitters 2, DQXIII or GTA SA.

I haven't even played DQ XIII but it seems a jolly good time and would last for ages.

MVC 2 goes for about $200 preowned with case and manual

The power move would be to buy that and sell it and grab all the other games

Having a PS2 and an old CRT television you found on the curb isnt the worst time you could have in 2023 tbh
