Thread: Hi-Fi RUSH | Official Gameplay Deep Dive Trailer
The main bad guys are Vandelay Technologies.

Nice Seinfeld reference.

Never seen a pretty big game launched as a surprise like this. I'm guessing this is an experiment by Microsoft to see how many gamepass subs they can rake in and keep.

I'm furiously refreshing the Steam page, I'll give it a go, can refund if its disappointing/runs like shite. Regarding the last part the PC specs are ultra low even for recommended though so maybe I can do 4K60 on my GTX 1080, or ~1872p + (hopefully) good AA anyway. If its a shitshow performance wise I'll just lock to 30fps immediately, can't be fucked pissing around and the low fps will be okay with the style, as long as it doesn't feel like shit to play obviously.

Its up, £26.99 in UK, I've bought it and I'm installing it.

edit - Downloaded, I can't tell which engine its using from the files, Stem? It says "Hibiki".

Its Unreal Engine.

It looks amazing and runs superbly, no stutters, low input lag and no frame drops from 60 even out in the city (so far) at native 4K on GTX 1080. My one gripe is the TAA settings are a bit pants and its very blurry vs. "No AA", I'm currently looking for where it stores its engine.ini settings so I can plug in my usual sharpening + TAA mods, that should bring it close to the No AA sharpness levels.

Go to C:\Users\XXXXXXXX\Saved Games\TangoGameworks\Hi-Fi RUSH (STEAM)\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

and add this to engine.ini:

[SystemSettings]
r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=2
r.PostProcessAAQuality=6
r.TemporalAACurrentFrameWeight=0.1
r.TemporalAASamples=32
r.Tonemapper.Sharpen=1.0

Better TAA and without as much blur.

This is really cool. The way everything in the world also moves to the beat is awesome.

Looks pretty sweet. I've started really liking the mashup of rhythm + (other genre) we've been seeing in the last few years. It's done a lot in VR games and it works really well.

Damn this looks amazing. If I had more time and dead space wasn't coming out I would totally play it out. I'll check it out after Hogwarts.

How the fuck did they just shadow drop this? Big props for Microsoft for letting them develop this and drop it before people shit all over the concept. Fantastic game.

Holy shit this game is just flat out so creatively fucking cool. Visual 10/Audio 11. Can confirm DMC + Guitar hero is fairly accurate.

Good game to get lit prior to playing as it helps to jack up the music and feel the groove.

I'm definitely going to give this a long term haul, this is a bit hyperbole but this is one of the most creative games I've ever played it deserves some kind of award on that merit alone.

100% RECOMENDATION TO ALL GAMERS!

This really doesn't look like a game for me, but I was somewhat skeptical of High on Life and absolutely loved it and I see everyone raving about this game everywhere, so I will need to at least give it a try since it's on Game Pass.

100% worth it. High on Life is nothing new tbh but this game is refreshing

Honestly this is the best game Microsoft has released in years. So wild how the world moves to the beat. Very surprising and games rarely surprise me.

Currently rated a 98% on steam.... this is the next Hades mofos.

Cool stuff. Glad to see this is working out for Tango as Ghostwire seemed to struggle and they needed a bump like this.

Man when you are vibing and your combos are hitting all beats…. Truly is something else. No other game plays like this. Kind of bummed dead space comes out tomorrow but atleast I can play this on the deck and enjoy Dead Space on Ps5.

Nice surprise, glad that it's good. Will definitely check it out when I finished Dead Spaced, Returnal, Atomic Heard ....

How is it irrelevant? The game still got reviewed what are you on about?
What is your problem? My statement came from the realization that you can avoid review by releasing a game as a surprise drop, wtf does Hifi scores have to do with it?

If the game is good great, I have nothing against it, relax dude.

I don't have a problem you said stupid shit, not me. I am relaxed. You just make no sense at all. What you said is clear and my reply was clear too

You said big brain strategy to avoid reviews like if this game isn't going to get reviewed? I didn't say you have a problem with the game, I'm discussing your shit take.

I said that shadow droping a game is a good way to avoid reviews, how have I been proven wrong? There were pretty much no review for days. I never said the game was bad or was going to bomb, you can even look at my post history you dumb dumb. You guys take this shit way too seriously.

And again, I never said anything about you saying the game is bad or will flop. It didn't avoid reviews, its not like shadow dropping a game is automatically a good thing. But we can leave it here cause I can clearly tell who's the dumb dumb

cheers mate

Funny thing, Streets Of Rage 4 feels like a rhythm game at times and Hades despite being a different genre nailed that same feeling. I'm tempted.

Is this game just an arena brawler or can you run around in the world and do shit?
It's has a hub world and then levels with massive set pieces. Some people have compared that to ratchet and clank… I assume they are talking about the massive set peace's.

I will say that outside the rhythm component the game itself is an incredibly well made action game. Combos feel great and a lot of unique ways to level up the character…. For example unlocking combos that focus air combat or combos that focus heavy attack openers.

I am loving dead space but several times I have thought about this game. I cannot wait to be done with dead space so that I can finish this out.
