God of War Ragnarok's graphical settings have been revealed thanks to a new round of previews.

The game offers two distinct options, each of which can be pushed further by those who have a TV that can support HDMI 2.1

In our preview of the game, we said "God of War Ragnarok makes a wonderful impression from the very beginning then. There are literally more iconic moments in this game's first 60 minutes than most games get in their entire runtime, and really deserve to be experienced on the biggest screen you can possibly find."

God of War Ragnarok Graphics Options

  • Favour Resolution – 4K/30FPS Locked
  • Favour Performance – 60 FPS Locked
  • Favour Resolution (High Frame Rate) – 4K/40FPS Locked
  • Favour Performance (High Frame Rate) – Targeting 120 FPS

Well roll on the PC version next Christmas!

Seeing how this doesn't look that much different than the first one, which received an ok port, I think we're good to go on PC. Shouldn't take them long to release it, especially because they already had the PC version in mind this time around. Only a matter of when Sony decides to release it.

I think anything less than a year at this point would be a political minefield. Last of Us is different because they announced both versions at launch. My personal guess is a year and two months.

Normally I hate long waits for anticipated titles but there's so much to play on PC from every console it's fine. These days I'm more excited about hardware than software, as my software collection is so good. Best part of PC gaming is looking at every great game in one place through Steam. It's glorious 🙌

I still feel like boy was a mistake. All we want is Kratos (well, all I want), but they are totally setting up boy to be the new protag and I'm not ready/okay with that.
I mean you can't really just have Kratos running around murdering everyone for eternity.

I gotta say, I feel a slight twang of hype over this game that's building in my loins. It's been awhile since a videogame stirred anything in me.

God of War Ragnarok Confirmed To Be More Violent Than Its Predecessor

Major Takeaway:

  • God of War Ragnarok features increased levels of violence and brutality compared to the previous installment, as per the combat designer of Santa Monica Studio.
  • The title will be bloodier and more fierce to correctly portray Kratos's personality and fighting sequences.
  • The violence will match the levels of classic God of War installments, as hinted at by the developer.
  • There is also reportedly a large variety of enemies and bosses compared to the prior release.
Dealing with the enemies and fending them off will be much more brutal, perfectly encapsulating the Kratos style of combat. Sheth states, "We've increased the levels of brutality in God of War: Ragnarok considerably, and I think that's something that makes certain aspects of the game more fun."

I am looking forward to playing this but not all aboard the hype train yet. 2018, I felt like I kept waiting for the story to take off only for it to end. The stuff with Kratos and his kid was great and combat was fun but I hated the RPG gear system.

I think they could've streamlined it way more. It was very bloated and a bit messy. Really hope they don't just throw more STUFF into it and turn it all up. But it's a sequel, and apparently that's what always happens.

Super cringe news.

Imagine being an adult and caring about "Violence and Gore". :/

Also, why does Kratos' son look like lesbian Trans-woman?

Looking at the leaks I can't help but just think this is more of the same versus anything actually new. God of War was fun but so terribly repetitive that when I see what this game offers, complete skip for me.
