Well it's a simple question really.
I live for the weekend. I don't work over the weekend so it's my free time. And I like to get drunk. I'm not an alcoholic but I like booze. I used to go out a lot back in the day but now I don't visit clubs anymore. I have 2 buddies and we go to each others house every weekend and get drunk as fuck.
How bout you? Do you like to get pissed over the weekend?

Not like I used too, I haven't had a drink in about 3-4 months. I have nothing against it just doesn't do anything for me like it used too.
I enjoy the buzz of 3-4 beers more than being flat out shit faced.

Couple of beers on a Friday (and sometimes Saturday) is a fine way of rounding off a hard week of work.

I'll get drunk any day of the week but with covid and perpetual Canadian lockdowns I was boozing way too much. I limit myself to just Saturday now because I was drinking heavily almost every night for a good stretch.

Tbh I'm too old for clubbing now - I'm twice the age of most of the people there (probably close to 3x for some of them). That and my body just doesn't thank me now for late nights. I used to be able to pull an all nighter and not even notice it the next day, then I got old.

That said I was never a big drinker. I had an incident when I was 18 that led to me being in hospital after drinking a bottle of vodka in about 45 minutes and since then I've always known when to stop - never once lost my memory since. I just take it to the chilled/happy drunk state and happily leave it there. No interest in vomiting in someone's shoes and in general no time for people who do.

Besides, I just got back from an out-of-town vacation and drank hard liquor for two days straight.

Kind of of topic but I was doing my family tree recently on Ancestry and came across a funny arrest record for my Irish great-grandfather- he was arrested for being involved in a bar fight in Liverpool on St. Patrick's day in the late 1800's and was the only one arrested that could read and pay the fine (the others all served two weeks in jail)

My Grandad got arrested for being drunk in charge of a bicycle. He was Irish.

Rarely do I get drunk, but I love a good ale a few times a week.

Usually I'm the designated driver on nights out, so I only get properly hammered a few times a year, and even then I can vomit on command, so I just purge the alcohol from my system before the happy drunk buzz has a chance to wear off.

My wife drinks more than I do, mostly as a combination of the aforementioned being the one that drives, her appreciation of fine spirits, and the fact it only takes her a couple of shots to get horny and pliable.

No. I rarely drink and lost my love for it. I only ever drink with a friend and sometimes it's just a glass or two tops.
