Let me have my wanks
Platforms
  1. PC
1. It's free and not forever the cost of a new game despite being like a decade old already

2. Better graphics

3. Weapons don't degrade

4. Better music

5. Its multiplayer as opposed to lonely virgin autism isolation world

6. Constant updates and evolution other than lol some old $60 turd you play at 720p 30fps

7. Multiplatform so you don't have to suffer the embarrassment/shame of owning a Switch

Lol friggin nerds, get rekt

I've read #1 several times and still can't understand what you mean.
Like most Nintendo games, it almost never goes on sale or gets discounted even many years after release. It's the main reason I gave up on Nintendo. I'm not paying 50 bucks to buy games that have been out for years. If I wanted to buy a Switch and a few 1st party games it would run me like 600 bucks minimum. Fuck that.

Honestly, as someone who usually hates competitive online multiplayer, Fortnite is bloody great, at least when played in a team.

There is a fuck ton of in game mechanics, regular overhauls and updates that completely change the map and gameplay, and there's enough variety of areas, items and options to make multiple different gameplay strategies a viable way to winning.

This last week they just added a new weather system that creates storms and tornadoes that destroy structurs, explode you with lightning bolts, fling you miles through the air or supercharge any vehicle you're driving.

Don't get me wrong, the player base is 99% insufferable kids and youtube streamers, but it's at its core a fundamentally brilliant game.

I just hate the building in Fortnite, mostly because on consoles there's so many cheaters that build a fortress in one nanosecond if you fire on them. I still enjoyed the game for like a year but once Apex Legends came out I moved over to that and I've never looked back. Apex is the best BR game for me, especially since Titanfall 2 in one of my favorite online FPS. I get a lot of the same guns with that awesome, tight shooting that Respawn is known for. I enjoy the lore of the Titanfall unviverse as well so that helps, and they did a pretty good job giving the Legends distinct abilities and personalities.

Yeah, it's cross platfor by default, so PC players that have hot keyed the building panels can throw up defences faster than anyone playing with a pad can even access the building mode, and are a pain in the arse, so almost always end up the last few players, because of the massive advantage they have in defence and with aiming using a mouse.

There is a new mode coming with no building though, so I'd recommend keeping an eye out for that.

Outsmarting and outplaying PC gamers is half the fun for me though. My wife and I come 1st on average in over 1 in 5 games, so it is definitely possible to kill the little shits.

If it weren't owned by China I would definitely give it a try, it does sound really good.

all you do is hold the build button and move the right stick around. its not cheating.

Back when I played in like 2017 the autobuild with the controller wasn't as robust as it is today maybe, you could definitely tell that some players were using mice. It was bad enough that Epic seperated lobbies by input but there were still plenty of mice players in controller lobbies because they used devices where mice would be detected as controller. Those same devices also allow for one-button shotcuts on controllers to instantly build a structure and stuff like that. If you use a mouse or a device like the cronus zen, I will consider you a cheater. Sadly there's plenty of them in Apex too.

I actually do enjoy fortnite for a bit every month or so, I enjoy playing on switch the most.
In regards to the reasons OP thinks Fortnite is better though: 6. The constant updates are actually quite annoying I find, nearly every week or so my Switch wanted to download a huge update for fortnite. No game needs that many big updates continuously. I even got rid of Fortnite on the Switch because the updates were too frequent and I had to keep moving my game files around. Also 7. doesn't make any sense because playing it on the switch is actually a good compromise between being tethered to a TV screen or being able to play it in another room, without having a tiny ass mobile screen. Using the Switch Pro controller with Fortnite is actually easier for me than PC, but thats just me.

if you want a different character than the generic ones you get from rng does the game still remain free?

Nah, those idiots build themselves into dead ends, leave big gaps and are easy to pick off once they stop to get their bearings.

The ones that suck are the PC players that can throw up precise structures AND edit them in a split second. It's not cheating, but when one player can throw up defences, edit a window into a wall, headshot you, then turn it back into a solid wall before you can even switch from shooting to building mode, it may as well be.

Still, it makes the cunts over confident, and if you can get the drop on them, you can trick them into letting a grenade or incendiary in with themselves and then either kill them instantly or pick them off as they panic and run out into the open to get gunned down.

You get some in game currency as you level up, even if you don't buy the battlepass.

You'll have enough for a battlepass after at most two seasons, then you'll quickly unlock enough to buy some costumes on top of those.

Also usually if you have PS+ and the like you'll get some other free skins.
