1. Brian and Charles
A ridiculous silly film that absolutely shouldn't work but it does. If you're a parent it'll get you by the feels. Very funny, some story beats lifted from the Short Circuit movies, weirdly one of my favourite films of the last decade.

2. Guillermo Del Toros Pinocchio
We all know this one and why it's great, no explanation needed. It's the definitive Pinocchio.

3. M3gan
Good fun, a little bit silly but always great entertainment.

4. Puss in boots last wish
Yeah I know it's a kids film but it's good clean fun.

5. An Ostrich Told Me The World Is Fake
A lovely little film that drew my attention with its similarity in style to Anomalisa (an all time favourite of mine) but it's a cool, somewhat dark tale. It's a short and perhaps could have done with more running time to explore its themes but I liked it.

6. The Menu
I love Michelin starred restaurants. I felt like a douche after watching this.

7. Minions Rise Of Gru
Another kids film, sue me. Honestly though it's good fun and free of modern bollocks.

8. Banshees of Inishirin
Good, but not as good as In Bruges

9. Aftersun
A small cheap movie with a good heart.

Worst movie: Women Talking
Never has a movie hated men so much. My wife had a lot of work to do to earn my forgiveness after subjecting me to this.

so far

the batman
All quiet on the western front
barbarian
Top gun 2 was chill

I absolutely loathed everything everywhere all at once and clerks 3

Dont worry darling was okay

From OP's linked list, my fondest memories are:

Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe
It's like I was back in the 90's.

Everything Everywhere All at Once
Original and accessible. Creativity in movies is not dead just yet.

The Gray Man
Outlandish, expensive and very stupid. Like crashing a sports-car.

Among the worst:

Moonfall
There's high concept. There's 'suspension of disbelief'. This is just flat-out ridiculous - in a not-especially-good way.

Will surely be Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos. Probably end up to be a 16+ movie as the original source is violent and with lots of nudity. (I'm an idiot, thought to be in 2022)

Top Gun: Maverick

Nothing else really did it for me that was released in 2022. Bullet Train was more entertaining than expected, Avatar 2 was alright if a bit trope laden and the Batman was just ok. And that might be the only 2022 releases I have seen.

Forgot Top Gun was 2022. Back when I could go to cinemas. Not so easy with a baby. Loved it but I'd struggle to name most of the characters other than the returnees, and the original is still better.

2022 was a dry year for me in the movie department. I literally didn't watch any 2022 movie yet, although The Batman and Avatar 2 are on my list.

Top Gun Maverick is a masterpiece.

Avatar 2 was boring AF but the visuals are unmatched.

Batman was lousy.

Jurassic World 3 was the worst movie in the whole franchise.

Uncharted was some of the dumbest shit I've ever seen but was entertaining all the same.

All Quiet on the Western Front was amazing.

Lost City was hilarious.
