Dune and Malignant were chill

Godzilla vs Kong was pretty meh

I wanted to love Nobody but then it turned into John Wick with Bob Odenkirk and I nope'd out so hard... lame script

Loved the first Dont Breathe! Forgot there was a sequel

You missed the point of that movie entirely.

Still lame. Movie was marketed as average joe kicking ass and taking names but just turned out to be another "badass assassin" type deal

.....When? I thought it was pretty clear that he was meant to be a retired "company man" longing for the good old days of crackin heads.

Nobody, Justice League, Tomorrow War, and Godzilla vs Kong were all decently entertaining. Spider-Man is just ok when you get past the nostalgia bait, and Malignant wound up being so much more retarded than I expected.

1. Dune. Absolute masterpiece. Enough said.

2. Belfast. Funny, charming and just a great time.

3. Strawberry Mansion
A very strange indie set in a world where your dreams are taxed. A tax collector goes rogue. Hints of Terry Gilliam's Brazil. A bit pretentious, but it's got a good heart and I enjoyed it despite it being a bit silly.

4. Old. Decent little film, not outstanding but decent.

2021 was a weak ass year.

Only seet 11 films so I probably missed out on something.

1. The Last Duel
2. Dune
3. The Beatles: Get Back
4. No Time To Die
5. The Suicide Squad

Worst: The Matrix Resurrections

Just gonna post what I watched... The bold ones are top 5. In no particular order.

Dune was ok. Expected more tbh. 3/5

Spider-Man: No Way Home was mostly solid. 4/5

Encanto was heavily overrated. It was just ok. 3/5.

The Last Duel was ok, not great. 3/5

Don't Look Up was a great movie. 4.5/5

Matrix Resurrections sucked ass. 2/5

The Unforgivable was a great movie. 4.5/5

Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter Part I - The Final was solid, 4.5/5
Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter Part II - The Beginning, very solid. 4.5/5

Mortal Kombat was ok. 3.5/5

The French Dispatch... I guess. And it wasnt even a good Anderson. And Spider-Man was decent if not entertaining. 2021 was a weak movie year for me.

I barely remember years and films, but I did enjoy Dune.

Also @Explosive Zombie should it not be films and shows? I noticed you had ZeroZeroZero in another thread, and Squid Game in this one.

Letterboxd considers those films, I'm not sure why. It doesn't list other shows, it has some kind of weird arbitrary rule-set on which shows are technically films and which ones aren't, but you couldn't include a season of South Park or something.

edit - Thought I should mention because they put shows in with movies occasionally I include them just because I'm OCD and want to stick with whatever the website decides but I also tend to devalue the worth of a show vs a movie, I prefer the short, fun experience of watching a movie. Watching a show can be way more engaging and amazing but I almost never want to re-watch a show, especially a drama show, it's such an undertaking to even watch once. I'm more likely to re-watch the Child's Play remake than I am ZeroZeroZero, but ZeroZeroZero was 100% a better achievement lol.
