Of the films available here, Extraction is the only one I really enjoyed.

Watching Hemsworth beat the shit out of teenagers in full tactical garb was hilarious.

1. Another Round


It's just great raucous fun, it's for men, it will put a smile on your face.

2. Riders Of Justice


Again it's a great time, lots of humour, lots of violence, a film for men.

3. Soul
Pixar's last great film. I don't think we'll ever see greatness from them again and that makes me sad, but not a bad way to go out.

Very weak year but those are 3 very very good films.

Worst film: I'm thinking of ending things. Oh my fucking god it's so bad. Gave up half an hour in which never happens, it was just so souls crushingly shite and I hated everyone in it.

Liked:

- Soul (great, but the ending was too safe, could have ended it much stronger)
- Palm Springs (biggest surprise of the year, just a fun time loop-movie)
- Love and Monsters (slight weaknesses towards the end, but most a good adventure movie)
- Eurovision: The Story of Fire Saga (the music scenes are just nice, although to this day I cannot tell whether the movie is parody or not, because it's both earnest AND comedy at times)
- The Empty Man (the kind of horror I love and hate. Keeps me up when I think of it. Not gore-horror, but "I fuck you up mentally forever"-horror)
- Another Round (oh, that was 2020, too? Great movie, Mads Mikkelsen ofc. Wish it would have escalated a but more similar to "The Hunt", but still fine)

Disliked:

- The King of Staten Island (following a shit kid)
- Tenet (pretentious bs)
- A Quiet Place 2 (how do you fuck up a sequel that hard?!)

Wanted to Like:

- The Devil All The Time (good actors, good atmosphere ... but no story to speak of. Bummer)
- The Trial of the Chicago 7 (Started boring, became somewhat interesting, but it's really a big fat nothing)

I don't watch many movies anymore and from that year, I think I only watched Tenet and Quiet Place 2. Didn't like Tenet much, Quiet Place 2 was good.

I only watched two movies from 2020, neither of them were great.

Deep Blue Sea 3 5/10 Same as the original, pretty much. Nothing surprising.
