Why wouldn't I like your posts when you post something I agree with. We usually have differing opinions, but you are a good poster and don't post nonsense like the morons at SonyGAF or Icon so even when I disagree with you I can respect your opinion and when I do agree with you, I can like your post. :):coffee:

Thank you for the kind words, Nobel 6.

I want Game Fuel!!! I havent seen it in the grocery store, hope it wasnt a a very limited run. I dont drink Soda often, but when I do its a real treat. Game Fuel would kick it up a notch further!

In my area only Meijer has it. Wasn't shipped to Walmart or Target.

I'm not from the US so I wasn't aware of the RRP of the Series X in the US. The standard price is $500 for the Series X console and one controller. So it's been reduced by $150 (not $60) to $349.

According to Phil Spencer, MS loses up to $200 on every Series console sold at the standard price. So at $349, they are probably losing somewhere between $200 to $250 (discount + the loss they take on every Series X).

That's a lot. If they are having to discount it by $150 post BF, it suggests the sale discounts during BF didn't shift enough Xboxes.
Here's the article where Phil talks about how much MS loses on each Series console sold:

This is late.

Looks like my local Walmart has some stealth sales for $150 off pickup only in limited stores:

Also Microsoft has the Elite Pro 2.0 controller on sale for $139 vs $179 MSRP.

I'm all excited to use the Xbox Mobile Phone app to setup the console. Carry over my settings and download my saves so I can play:

  • Borderlands 2
  • State of Decay 2 (I just network downloaded my game with saves. Holy mackerel! The game looks significantly better on this system and I don't even have a 4k tv!)

on my 1080p LCD from 2008.

I really need to upgrade my tv and sound system.

You live in Scottsdale? Baller

I don't and I'm not. I live in North Central Phoenix. That is just one of two of the cleanest Walmarts in the metro area.

But I do plan to move to Cave Creek when the housing market gets back to normal. Or if one of my rich family members pass.

343 Has 'Nothing In Active Development' For Halo Infinite Single-Player
During a wide-ranging chat on the Xcast podcast, 343's Brian Jarrad talked about the team's ongoing plans for Halo Infinite. While lots of content is still in the pipeline for multiplayer — as evidenced by the team's recent Firefight launch — the team says that "nothing is in active development" for the game's campaign:

"I'll be honest, we have nothing to announce today regarding any campaign content for Infinite. I'll even go a step further and tell you that right now there's nothing in active development on that front."

"We made the decision just over a year ago, to really double-down on improving the multiplayer product."

I'm still waiting for the price of a physical copy of Infinite to drop further before I finally pick it up.
I have heard that the campaign is solid despite the negativity surrounding the game.

It's a shame but I'm not surprised they are abandoning it. 343i itself seems to be working on a new project:

343 working on a new IP, that's great since they can't handle the one they have. That could be a good thing if Xbox got some people that aren't retarded to take over Halo Campaign.

It took until 2024. But XB finally has a solid lineup for the year.

Feels like MS and Sony are inverses of each other this generation. Sony blew their load and released a ton of their franchises towards the beginning of the generation. Now since games take so long to make they don't have much left. MS didn't release much starting out but has a solid lineup coming up. I think going forward MS will have an advantage due to their sheer number of studios.

It took a few years to ramp up from 5 to 30 studios since 2018, and get the ship turning. I would expect 4-6 first party titles per year going forward. Hopefully Redfall was the last true misfire.

Unfortunately development ceased, coincidentally around the time retro emulation was no longer possible.

its easier on a mini pc now with retreat. the xbox was always a bit clunky for it but while it was there it was great. I got the email to, not going to do anything about it. I have no idea if this is to shut down the emulation scene or them cleaning up dead developer accounts

100% about shutting it down. Pretty sure the public way had been closed down and now the developer mode is being shut down. Probably to appease someone like Nintendo.

I do emulation on my PC now, but when I only had consoles playing Silent Hill 2 and 3 in 4k 60 fps was a killer feature.

Shovel Knight Treasure Trove on sale. I don't think I've ever seen this game on sale the whole time I've owned an X1 and XSX. I don't think it ever goes on sale or if it does, it's extremely rare. It's been on my wish list forever.

Awesome, awesome game. I've got it for my PS but now I can finally grab it for the X.

I don't know what it is about Xbox controllers but serious question: Are they just cheap POS's? I'm in the middle of replacing bumpers on my second XSX controller within a 6 month time frame. And prior to that, I had an X1 controller where if you pressed one face button, it registered on a second button. Considering I've never had an issue with any PS controller, this is feeling like a quality control issue on the Xbox side.

Are the Elite controllers more bulletproof? I'd consider springing for that IF it meant not having to deal with broken parts constantly.

I wish I could tell you that the Elite controllers were better, but I'm already on my third in like 5 years.

The bumpers are a real issue. I must be sweating too hard on cod or something because I'm not hammering these things or smashing them about.
