Microsoft will host an "Xbox and Bethesda Softworks Developer_Direct" on January 25 at 12:00 p.m. PT / 3:00 p.m. ET, which will present an inside look at games coming to Xbox, PC, and Game Pass over the next few months, the company announced. You will be able to watch it on YouTube and Twitch.

The broadcast will be presented by the game creators themselves from studios including Arkane Austin, Mojang Studios, Turn 10 Studios, and ZeniMax Online Studios. It will focus on "big features, extended gameplay showcases, and the latest information on Xbox games launching in the next few months," including The Elder Scrolls Online, Forza Motorsport, Minecraft Legends, and Redfall.

Viewers can expect the following:

  • The Elder Scrolls Online – Studio Director Matt Firor will unveil 2023's major Chapter update, including the latest regions of Tamriel to become playable in The Elder Scrolls Online, as well as a major new feature coming in the game's biggest update this year. The Developer_Direct will be immediately followed by the full, standalone The Elder Scrolls Online Chapter Reveal Event, hosted by Zenimax Online Studios, which will provide all the in-depth details The Elder Scrolls Online players will be keen to know.
  • Forza Motorsport – The team at Turn 10 Studios have been hard at work, bringing fans the next generation of Forza Motorsport, built from the ground up to take advantage of Xbox Series X|S. Forza Motorsport is back, and we can't wait to share more gameplay and exciting new details.
  • Minecraft Legends – Mojang Studios will showcase an insider's look into the player-versus-player multiplayer experience in Minecraft Legends—the upcoming actionstrategy game from the makers of Minecraft. Developed in partnership with Blackbird Interactive and launching this spring, don't miss exclusive gameplay footage at the Developer_Direct.
  • Redfall – The minds behind Dishonored and Prey, Arkane Austin, will showcase several minutes of gameplay from their upcoming first-person shooter. The Developer_Direct will reveal single and multiplayer gameplay, showing more of how you and your friends will take down bloodthirsty Vampires on the picturesque island of Redfall, Massachusetts. Fans can expect to learn more about combat, customization, bosses, the open world, and more.

Starfield will not be featured during the event, but a standalone show is in the works "to dedicate the proper amount of time for a deep dive."

Here's hoping there will be some great shit shown and a new definitive date for Starfield. Even though I'm optimistic, I'm gonna manage my expectations because last year was so poor for MS.

I saw that but I'm hoping they could give us a date or at the very least a window even if they don't show it.

@nominedomine

U wanna hold hands and watch together?
You'd have to drag me at gun point. Elder Scrolls Online, Redfall, Forza, Minecraft spin-off? Are they even trying?

Despite not liking Bethesda games, Starfield is at least interesting to follow given that it's an ambitious new IP on paper at least and it's going to be interesting no matter what (for better of worse), these ones tho... get the fuck out... disrespectful

I don't get how these publisher suck so much. Where is the good stuff at? Nowhere to bee seen apparently.

Forza is the one I care about the most.

I have to say...them getting out ahead of this and saying NO STARFIELD is just the cherry on top of bad communication. Like you should really address it first and foremost with a small teaser and a date. It doesnt matter you are planning its own thing. People want to know when its coming out. Why are you holding onto that information like its sacred? To just ignore it completely at this deep dive is weird.

was gonna ask what you were doing in an xbox thread, but then I see you were just biting bait

So safe to assume Nintendo will have a Direct and Sony a State of Play in response to this?

Still wondering where Avowed and Fable are. So far the biggest reveal for this is that Starfield is getting a dedicated deep dive at a different event. Cool, but still way to take the wind out of the sails for this event.

I can see Nintendo focusing on a Fire Emblem Engage Direct this month, and laying the groundwork for another Direct to start a Tears of the Kingdom media blitz plus whatever else they have planned for the year. Pokemon Scarlet/Violet expansions and Xenoblade 3 Torna scale Expansion are a given.

Sony - Probably Forspoken, Stellar Blade. Maybe Hellblade 2? Resident Evil IV Remake, Silent Hill 2 Final Fantasy XVI are the heavy hitters with FF7 Remake Part 2 at some point after. Still waiting for anything on Dragon Quest 3 Remake, Dragon Quest X west release or Dragon Quest 12.

Hint: they don't know the release date. It's likely that it's gonna move to H2.

Yea. Sony and Nintendo really need to respond to this... :ROFLMAO:

I'm out of here. Don't summon me again Teezzy, I want less Xbox in my life
Poor wording on my part. It would make sense for all three to kick off the year and give an idea of what they are offering. E3 continues to be in a seeming state of sorta there, and dead.

I hate this trickle feed of news. I don't give a shit about "loyalty" to Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft, all I want are actual good fucking games. This year does look to be very promising at least.

Eh.

THey have an idea at this point. There is no way its shipping in 2023 and they dont have a date pencilled in. Game development just doesn't work like that.

If I had to bet money on it, I think it's coming in November, especially since CoD kinda doesn't exist this year. So Starfield is gonna be their big Q4 game.

This would mean another delay, and I think they don't want to simply announce the delay with one or two sentences and move on. It's better to do a seperate show, present like 10 minutes of good, polished gameplay and then say "btw, we need a bit more time, see you in November".

I could see it. No matter what you do the date is going to cause an uproar. Doesn't matter how good the game looks at this point because they already showed it in a rough state. The game isn't going to look dramatically different or better.

Im still going with Q2 but wouldn't be surprised if its q4.

So this is it. This is the big game that Microsoft has bet on. It better deliver. I think it will they know how much this will kill them if this shows poorly. I really hope it shows well. I hope it convinces me to get an xbox.
