I expect some good new footage from season 2. And they better not sully this convention with talk of diversity and inclusion.
I'm curious to see whether CD Projekt Red will announce a new Witcher game. Hopefully it doesn't star Geralt of Rivia again. Blood and Wine was as good an ending for him as anyone can ask for.

I hope not. I love the game but I really wish they wouldn't keep going back to it like Rockstar Games does with GTA5.
Wow, that's interesting. A whole "con" just for the show itself? A show with only one season? Like if it was just a general Witcher convention, that might make sense to me as it's a long-running thing. And it could have a big focus on the show. But this is a convention for a single-season show all on its own.
Word is they are outsourcing it to another studio and just doing supervision on the project, so I doubt it will take up significant development resources.
I would welcome it if only to implement the better lighting system from Cyberpunk and maybe change the PBR materials to look better.

I'm hoping for a better combat system. After Ghost of Tsushima it's easy to see the inherent flaws in The Witcher 3's combat.
To be fair, aside from the Switch version this is the only 'Next Gen' update they've pushed out. I don't think they're quite in R* territory of milking it quite yet.
With a 4th game for sure, but with the update...no chance, it's purely going to be a visual thing
