I've hardly even watched anything of his outside of that one episode of Scooby Doo where Batman and Robin are also on the case. And yet, I still could detect the utmost of gayness exuded from his character. He's like 5'2 the size of a peanut, dressed like a complete fruit, and to make matters worse he has all these stupid phrases that never connect. Christopher Nolan didn't even mention Robin once in any of his three Batman movies. Hyping up Batman's sidekick is like cheering for Rupaul to put on a cape and begin fighting crime

Ashkully at the end of dark knight the 3rd rock guy was hinted at being Robin.. so yes Nolan wanted to make Batman into a raging Gaylord.

I was going to say this. Including calling him the guy from Third Rock from the Sun.

It was weird how he got pushed as a big new Hollywood star for like 3 years, completely out of nowhere, then disappeared entirely.

Robin is like a relic from back when Batman wasn't so dark and broody like he is now. Batgirl's a better sidekick. She's got the same name and look as Batman plus the bonus of getting to fuck her.

Just remember that the first Robin has a pornstar name and has banged every girl on the planet...and off planet if we include Starfire.

But yeah, the whole Robin thing is gay as fuck. Probably why every Robin eventually adopts a new persona

Didn't they turn Tim Drake gay ? Haven't read DC in a while so not sure WTF is going on anymore 🤣
Not even sure if he's Robin anymore and thought he was replaced by Damien Wayne , it's messed up because Drake was as straight as an arrow and dated chicks before DC had this brilliant idea

DC comics just released a comic about Harley Quinn farting, where the villain is an old white male writer who can do whatever he likes without judgement because he's a white make, under the excuse it's meant to normalise women farting as a natural bodily function not to be ashamed of, but is just the writer, editor and artist's in no way disguised fetish, with a dash of moral nagging.

DC comics could not be gayer if it tried.

And yeah, they made Tim Drake, arguably the best Robin ever and a fantastic character in his own right, a full homo a few years ago. Same with superman's son. And Green Arrow's. And the Flash's daughter I believe.

In the DC universe, being the kid or sidekick of a super hero is kind of like being the kid of a middle class urban liberal.

Yes they shit all over Tim Drake's character. He was the coolest Robin, mainly bc he was more focused on being a detective and an intellectual vs a brawler. So naturally they had to completely ruin him.

The gayest thing Tim ever did beforehand was date a girl who was pregnant with another mans kid.

Bro that ain't even the worst thing about that book, it is the most disgusting thing I've ever heard about in this industry and that's saying a lot.

Like Marvel, they went full retard and hired a bunch of activists to be the stewards of the closest thing the US has to mythological figures.

Yeah, Tim was the one who most embodied the detective side of Batman while also having Barbara Gordon's genius IQ and Dick Grayson's social skills. So much potential before DC started ruining him. Not my favorite Robin but I can see why people liked him.

I always figured Robin came about to make the comic more kid friendly and there was a bit of a trend to give comic book heros child sidekicks. Didn't Captain America get a sidekick in the 50s or whatever.
And isn't Robin only really gay because of the campy sixties show ? Like I don't think he was that gay in the comics and eventually in the 80s and 90s they did all kinds of stuff with him turning him into his own hero killing him having multiple Robin's etc...
But ya its a bit gay that a single billionaire decides he wants to adopt a young child and the play cops and robbers with him while he dresses in a s&m bat suite and the kid wears these tiny little banana hammock underwear.
Like if Bruce wants a kid he could bang some thirsty big titty thot that would be impressed by his money and mansion.

One of the great things about Robin is the potential for tragedy he brings to Batman's stories typically driving home just why The Joker is considered his greatest enemy. They've gone to some dark places with the Robins.

I think Damien was probably the best Robin, and considering that he was a murdering, narcissistic little psychopath you can kind of see why someone would want to put him in a brightly colored costume and call him Robin to maybe soften that terrifying personality a little bit:LOL:

Robin is a relic from the Golden Age of comics, and was no doubt created to make the Batman comic more appealing to children. The concept of a kid sidekick is ok when you're a kid reading this stuff, not so much as an adult. For one, it makes Batman look like the worst kind of child abuser by constantly putting his wards in danger whenever he fights bad guys.

It's telling that when Stan Lee and his collaborators begat the Marvel Universe in 1963, he made the ironclad rule of NO SIDEKICKS. Rather than having a teenager be a support to the hero, he made a teenager the main hero, the result being Spider-Man.

Meh, it's fine under the context that these kids were determined to do this with or without Batman's approval as was the case with Dick, Barbara, Tim and Jason. Batman took them under his wing so at the very least they'd do it under his supervision. Jason and Cass were both criminals reformed by Batman who could no longer live normal lives, and chose to do good.

The idea that Batman is training child soldiers to fight in war is some dumb liberal nonsense introduced by activists in the 2010s. It ignores all context for the sake of a silly moral argument that doesn't hold much water when you consider the fact that Batman never made any of them fight crime, and actively tried to stop several of them from doing so to no avail.

I will concede that it doesnt make any sense with Damian. Yeah Damian was raised to be an assassin from birth, Damian was literally ten years old. Damian is a shitty character all on his own right, but the fact that he was 10 and murdering gotham thugs was dumb af.

When I read Batman in the early 80ies, there wasn't that much Robin around in the comics.
And when he was, I didn't think about it as gay or anything.

I just connected to him as being another kid doing cool shit I would have loved to be able to.

As an adult in this cynical times, I see the problems though, of course.
