I'm lefty with everything I haven't been forced to adapt righty for.
write, throw, basically anything that I can is lefty.

adapted righty for golf, video games (i still suck at fps console games because of aiming with the right thumb stick.), computer, scissors, basically any activity that is geared towards righties.

also other activities I'm just confused. Swinging a bat for example, I have no idea what side to swing from. I golf right, but with a bat in my hand I have the option. Left feels weird because I've been swinging a club from the other side for decades, but it also feels more controlled.

I never knew how much I've oppressed you over the years. ;)

The guy who taught me to play guitar is left handed, and instead of paying extra, he just flipped a righty upside-down.

It's weird how people seem to always make the thread poll a differently worded question than the thread itself

The dominant hand is the one you use primarily

It was I'm not following your confusion
I kinda see what you mean, but this isn't a black and white poll/question.

I can throw a baseball proficiently with my left, but no where near as well as my right. Or, I can jerk off with my left but not to finish.

Is your issue with the deviation of my wording? Would you rather I just copy and pasted the exact wording from the title?

Is your issue with me listing Left Right in the title and then reversing the order in the poll list?

Yes my only point is I don't see why people create a thread with a specific question, and then when they write the poll they reword it. It's just a dumb observation followed up by a joke that did not land evidently.

I'm ambidextrous.

Always been, and never even noticed until someone pointed it out. Always switched hands for everything and thought it was normal.
List the major things that you do with each please? I've always been fascinated how 2 separate ambi's use their hands differently.

Writing is one of them. I started writing with the left hand when I had an injury with my right hand while on college. I did it naturally without even thinking. I realized I can also write with both at the same time.

But before that, I always changed cutlery when eating, I don't have a standard hand for a fork or a knife, it's totally random, I also browse my phone with both hands, it depends a lot on where I'm sitting (if I'm in the sofa on a different side for example) it's just natural to trade. I don't even think about it. I only noticed I did things differently because I was having lunch with someone and the person noticed I traded hands all the time when eating and he was like "why do you do that" and I was like "wait... people don't do that?". I admit i's kinda bizarre.

I kinda suspect it has a little to do with playing stringed instruments from an early age. I learned to have dexterity with both hands because of playing guitar and all of that.

Righty here. Both my son and wife are left handed, but I've never heard them say anything to indicate they have more difficulty than us righties. I honestly don't even know what sorts of things are considered to prioritize right-handed use. I've heard scissors, but I've used them with both my right and left hands and never had a problem.

Edit: Also, I jerk with my left. Go figure. Maybe it's akin to 'the stranger'?

If you're a pitcher being left handed is a huge advantage for some reason. Bro science

Left handed people don't complain because what's the point, it's really minor annoyances we've developed work around a for. I only talk about it when it gets brought up, or when people go off about trans rights. Show your son and wife that video I linked in the other thread and watch their reaction.

Because we are used to playing against righties whereas they aren't used to us. Same thing goes for combat sports and sword fighting back in the day, left handed swordsmen were more successful.
