Thread: What is a good online FPS?

I like online shooters but so many of them have issues. Thick SBMM, quickscoping in CoD, cheaters everywhere, pay to win.

Just wondering if there are any lesser known good ones that don't suffer from the above shit. I tried Splitgate which was OK. Hell Let Loose looks pretty cool but maybe too realistic for me. I used to enjoy Ironsight but haven't played it in ages. Insurgency looks decent.

Any others?

Haven't played in a while, but if you are ok with having to leverage teamwork(and microphones), SQUAD is damn good.

It's the right balance between ARMA and CoD/CS. Realistic but not irritatingly complicated and clunky.

I've never heard of that one. I'll have a look, thanks. It's not Battle Royale, is it? I hate that shit, it's gayer than gay porn.

Absolutely not. It's team based area control/denial in a current military setting with vehicles, classes and massive maps.

Sounds pretty good. A bit like Battlefield before they fucked it. I'm hoping the next one will be a return to form. I put a lot of hours into 3 and 4.

I play Enlisted and Heroes and Generals, neither of them are pay 2 win as I play both only paying for premium account and I usually stay within the top 3 spots. In Heroes and Generals the best guns you get are the ones you start with, same goes for Planetside 2 but I don't play that as much anymore and in Enlisted all guns are strong enough to drop anyone with one or two hits, I never feel like I am at a disadvantage in either game just because I don't use a "powerful" weapon or vehicle.

Overwatch. I only need one multiplayer shooter to occasionally go to and I'm still playing that. My friends mostly switched to Battlefield but it's too chaotic and random for me. It never feels like you're contributing to anything. It does in Overwatch. It's still perfect at what's it trying to be. Only problem is content drought.

I prefer Battlefield because...

Chaotic
Random
Feeling like I'm useless

what a game series!

Wait for Battlefield or Halo. Those two will be your casual fun online FPS games

All games now are trying so hard with the shite SBMM. They're turning everything competitive although there's a ranked playlist.

Enlisted has no SBMM. People are only segregated by the campaigns they choose but not by skill.
