5. Also how scary will the game be?

Capcom seems to be hitting their best strides since the franchise began in 1996. I don't know what could be next, but maybe there are fans out there who might have an idea.

2. Who or what will be the main antagonist? A populist sociopath with orange skin and blond hair.
3. What might the plot be? Some cult that blindly follows the main antagonist will be trying to spread their mind virus to everyone else.
4. Where will the setting take place? A fictional place called the Unionized Provinces
5. Also how scary will the game be? Really scary if you don't like gay romances and sheeittt.

Sounds more like Far Cry 7 lol

2. Some rogue element of Blue Umbrella and the B.S.A.A. working for The Family or a yet-unnamed bioterrorist cell
4. Latest rumor was Southeast Asia or a Japanese island inspired by Singapore, but who knows?
5. Don't know, but last year they unveiled their RE neXt (REX) Engine so we'll probably get a major graphics update

I mainly want more Jill Valentine and return to third-person in Resident Evil 9.

Hard to say.

I suspect something with Jill and Leon (based on rumors). Seems to make sense. People love Leon and Jill was great in RE3make.

As for the plot, who knows? It could be anything. The overall narrative has been dumb for 2+ decades but as long as Leon isn't portrayed like he is in the CG movies, I'll be alright with whatever they do. Leon needs to retain his "nice guy/optimistic" aspect, it's what makes his character. Wise cracking Leon didn't arrive until RE4 and that aspect is good, but rookie cop Leon is what endeared gamers when Leon was introduce to audiences and that nice guy element makes his character and allows players to connect with him. Capcom got it terribly wrong in RE6, Degeneration, and Vendetta. Jill can't be a damsel like in RE5 either, she was susceptible in RE3 but it worked in that game. So in a nutshell, the overall plot can be as dumb as it wants to be as long as the characters are portrayed well.

I have faith in Capcom though. I'll always have hesitation because of the PS3/360 gen but Capcom has been firing on all cylinders once they course corrected, I'd be really surprised if they managed to muck it up again. The games sell well at launch and have long legs, Capcom does those surveys because they legitimately want player feedback. I'm keeping the faith, I am a true believe in CAPGOD.

Its far from what I predict but I would rather it be:

1. Sheva and Joe Baker from 7
Think about a more experienced Sheva teaming up with the old but probably-as-strong-if-not-stronger-than-Chris hillbilly uncle from the RE7 dlc. Barry is old and busted, but Joe Baker is this brick shithouse of an old vet who can take on gators with his bare hands, an anti-BOW should absolutely bring this guy on. His niece was saved but the rest of his family are gone, what else is he gonna do with his life? Character dynamics would be more interesting that Chris and Sheva.

2-3. I'd like the plot threads of the two moles from RE Revelations 1 and the RE8 BSAA corruption followed up on, so the antagonists could be those two moles, Raymond and Jessica, plus whoever they work for.

4. I'll take any setting honestly.

5. I would honestly take a more actiony game somewhere between 5 and 8 in terms of scariness.
 
I don't think this will happen (as it would be more like Resi 6) but I'd love a third person game with all the main characters coming back together, possibly to end the story as it is now. Give some characters happy endings and kill off others. Narrow the playing field, as realistically 10+ years between protagonists is too long. Barry, Sherry, Leon, Chris, Jill, Claire, Moira, Jake all need to have some kind of resolution.

Realistically probably a stand alone game, with a late one room lore dump that ties it back to the others.
 
There's a story in RE games? I though it was just survive the zombies while completing basic puzzles to advance.
 
I just want Leon and Ada. I don't really care about anyone else in this franchise. I wish everyone but Leon and Ada would die because that'd be a huge shocker and a big game changer. All these horror games and nobody major dies. Lame.

I'm always the guy who hates the status quo. I like big shake ups.
 
The only thing I hope for is that it somehow ends up having Jill and Leon fucking.

Purely because it would upset the maximum number of shippers.
 
Leon thwarting the assassination of the American President, who happens to be Republican. And in their anger, the Democrats unleash the T-virus and turn half of the country into zombies.

While I'm not precisely objecting to such a proposal, it would fail to cuck Leon/Claire shippers and give Chris continued hope for the Redfield bloodline, which is a high price to pay for just a bit of girl on girl action.

I think the overall story of Resident Evil probably ends in 2038 (one year after Shadows of Rose), 40 years after the Raccoon City incident.

Natalia Korda would be 37 and Alex Wesker probably returns
Jake Muller would be 45
Moira Burton would be 47
Sherry Birkin would be 52
Sheva Alomar would be 52
Claire Redfield would be 59
Leon S. Kennedy would be 61
Jill Valentine would be 64
Ada Wong would be 64
Chris Redfield would be 65
Barry Burton would be 78

But remember the women age slower than men because of the plot.

If Jill Valentine comes back for Resident Evil 9, I hope they put her in skimpy outfit like that outfit she was in for the third game. I hope they don't try to censor her and outfit either

It's hard for me to predict a single thing having not yet played RE7 and RE Village. Are they likely to continue the plot with the Winters or will Jill/Leon/Claire or even Sherry get a shot? I have to imagine that Sherry's time is coming sometime in the future. RE6 wasn't the best look for her but there's definitely a lot to build from. Pair Leon and Jill together and have Sherry working on the side
 
You know it's funny, I heard a lot about Jill's sexiness being toned downed for the RE 3 Remake, but I still thought she looked hot. Also, the remake gave us this:

I never got around to playing Rose's DLC, has the Winters' family stuff wrapped up now? It'd be nice if 9 got back to the more recognisable RE cast and if the rumours are to be believed then I'd love to have Leon or Jill as the main protag.

I'd also assume the series would go back to third person.
