Depends on distance from intersection and velocity. Where I live, the yellows are long, and as long as I've entered the intersection on yellow I'm clear. Otherwise, I begin braking.

Depends, I used to take them now I tend to slow down and brake if possible unless I have some dickhead riding me from behind.

Depends on the situation. It's always best to err on the side of caution. The people you see slamming gas through an intersection that's obviously dangerous (i.e. 4 way traffic, or pedestrians around) are the ones who cause accidents.

It's perfectly normal and possible to judge the conditions around you well enough to the extent that it's safe to sail through late yellow into red.

IMO, it's generally women who just slam the gas and throw caution to the wind.

It all depends how far away when it turns yellow but most times try to beat it before it turns red.

At the lights I know well, I generally sense if it's turning yellow soon, and then speed up when it's green and I'm far away to hit it earlier, and then brake through the intersection. This slows me down in the most dangerous part (inside the intersection), but gets me to the light faster.

I'd panic and wonder why the light was Yellow!

I live in a country where they are Amber in colour, we even had an advertising campaign in the 70s/80s about being an amber gambler. It didn't work we still just drive thru em!
