I've only used a few apps and mostly for fast food but there are some out there that provide very nice deals from time to time. The one's I've used were for Jack In The Box, McDonald's, and Carls Jr which all have some enticing deals every couple of weeks or so if you like to pig out every now and again

I've recently done away with fast food, the commercial ones at least. Too many ingredients that you can never know about tbh. Too much trans fat, and I doubt the workers are as serious about cleanliness as they should be every day, adding up to a highly questionable work environment in the kitchen. Maybe that's inaccurate, but I don't trust the rapidly moving fast foods with Drive Thru lanes much any more and of course the food is basically empty calories all the way through the menu. Anyway,
what apps (if any) do you guys use that provide some solid deals?

It seems like a lot of these apps are in their beginning phase as the apps themselves are kind of janky half the time, but they do work and offer some hard to pass up freebies and coupons

Menulog (Just Eat in the US) and Uber Eats have deals and independent restaurants listed, so you should find something good on there.

The Maccas app in Australia has points and discounts, I assume it's the same in the US.

That McDonald's app is too good. I was forced to give it up. They sucked me right in. Before I downloaded their app, I hadn't eaten there for more than eight years. Next thing I knew they were offering free burgers everywhere and the discounts are kind of insane too. The app cuts the price for a double cheeseburger in half... Must have been at least twenty, thirty or so trips there in the past year

It is a good app. Lots of savings and freebies. I get it maybe once or twice a month.

Those apps are all designed to drop your guard against the social credit system, they're an evolution from Groupon and reveal a lot about you. "When consumers use a membership card at a grocery store, other related businesses receive information about spending habits, tastes, and purchase activities" (LinkedIn). I avoid them like the plague.

I stopped into a Quebec clothing retailer to buy something really quick last week where the cashier was asking for everyone's phone number and address. I gave him the people's eyebrow before asking if he wanted my money or not.
