Far Cry 6 frame rate test showing the framerate/fps on PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

The versions tested were 1.1.0 in-game for all consoles. There may be some time of day variance in some clips. The HD texture pack was installed on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Game codes provided by Ubisoft.

Timestamps:

00:00 - PS5
05:38 - Xbox Series X
11:16 - Xbox Series S

PS5 uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 3392x1908 and the lowest resolution found being approximately 2944x1656.

Xbox Series X uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 3840x2160 and the lowest resolution found being approximately 3072x1728.

Xbox Series S uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 2560x1440 and the lowest resolution found being approximately 1920x1080.

The above pixel counts were during gameplay. The cutscenes are letterboxed and during cutscenes PS5 can reach 3840x1608 (3840x2160 with black bars at the top and bottom of the frame).

The PS5 and Xbox Series X have some graphical improvements over the Xbox Series S such as: improved draw distance, improved LOD transition distance and improved texture quality https://bit.ly/3Aogyqt

The cutscenes run at 30fps and stuttering can happen when the camera cuts during cutscenes.

Pretty much locked 60 with the odd dropped/mispaced frame here and there. Very impressive for all three.

Should also bode well for the Steam Deck, which is inline with the Series' systems power wise for it's 800p resolution target.

These sites have dropped PRo and One X like a brick. I think theres a lot of life left in those and I would like to see how they stack up.

On topic, Game looks really nice have to admit but I dont think I will be picking it up.

Aye, and even more important is the base PS4 and XO, given how few current gen systems are actually out there.

There's far more people who'll be playing on last gen systems, and not even the mid gen refreshes, than this video is going to be relevant to, and there's no end in site to that situation.

Here's a X1S performance test:

It looks playable.

And the same guy has tested some older GPUs and some lower end ones.

750TI at 720p low settings is also playable.

Wow what a lackluster RT implementation. RT shadows which are quarter resolution at maximum and don't make a significant difference, don't even apply in doors. With some weird negative effects like too dark areas around the eyes of characters.

Then the reflections, also very low res even at highest settings. And no RT reflections on water and on glass? That's laughable. Sure, still looks way better on cars and metal surfaces than without RT, but still a bad implementation.

Really shows how far ahead Metro Exodus EE is.

Maybe I'm a full on conspiracy theorist but am I the only one who finds it weird that:

This game is being promoted by AMD
AMD cards struggle with complex ray tracing
AMD sponsored titles so far always had very light RT implementations to avoid their cards looking bad
This game uses the RT effects in ways to save as much performance as possible, severely gimping the RT effects

Aliens.

I guess.
