Squarenix are really just failing with many of their games names these last few years. I think Bravely Default might have been the beginning of it, but they just seem to stick with whatever project codename they came up with at the first brainstorming session and stick with it.

Still, looks like it could be fun.

I might give it a go once more hands-on footage is out. Especially, I wanna see players at the 50 hour / 100+ hour marks who are giving their take on the game. My immediate impression was Level-5's Fantasy Life, which I liked. This could be similar.

There's another strong similarity to Nintendo's Miitopia RPG: the sidescrolling auto-travel, the simple battles, the emphasis on cinematic team-up attacks, the wide variety of classes and costumes... I didn't care at all for Miitopia, but my older two kids loved the 3Ds version and love the Switch version. They each sunk dozens of hours into it. SO maybe this ends up being another "family gift" that i dabble with but ultimately ends up being for the kids.
