Personally I main Skye. I have been playing her since she first released, way before she become meta. Best agent in the game currently.

Haven't given this a go yet, but I might check it out.

I remember hearing about some weird security concern with their anti-cheat tech, but is that all sorted now?

Kinda.

The security is Vanguard, which grants 0 level access to your cpu. It is the reason the game has very little cheating and many other games have similar anti-cheats. The biggest issue was the game launched without the ability to disable it. They fixed this and you can disable vanguard but you have to restart your computer whenever you launch the game. Personally I just leave it in the background running and use VMs for any nefarious shit.

Game is like crack and the best tactical shooter I have ever played. I even like it more than CSGO.

Tencent... so that'll be a big no from me, dog.

Ironic seeing Berlin sponsoring a company that funds concentration camps.
China is everywhere and not going anywhere. Riot being owned by them is not going to stop me from enjoying quality games. The devs are amazing and listen to the community while delivering a constant trickle feed of content to keep the game fresh.

Not an argument. I will not tolerate genocide just because it might or might not continue. Those quality games you play are financing human misery and you are therefore an accessory to it. That is the truth of the matter. You wouldn't buy a coat from Auschwitz in 1940s, so how is this any different?

China literally has a choke hold on the entire world economy. Look at what they just did to the ARM semiconductors.

This is pure insanity. Stuff like this makes me think that Biden is doing everything for China.

Until their are people in power who actually want to stop China then none of this matters. Extending your logic you better not be using a smart phone or any electronics.

I don't buy Chinese electronics, however I also always try not to buy Chinese. Yes, it does cost me more on everything but overall it is worth it. Besides, Tencent is OWNED by the Chinese government. The semi-conductor factories and shoe shops or whatever pay a small % of their profits to the government. Tencent is responsible for the censorship and directly funds the Chinese government. I do support Chinese liberation causes and spend money on organizations that are fighting the Chinese government to offset my tiny contributions to the CCP when I buy a product that has a piece from China, but I don't directly funnel my money to the Chinese Government like Riot games do.

Good for you. I do the same and I stopped playing Valorant when it was released because of the political issues but after Trump lost that all went out the Window. After seeing the new silk road given to China via Afghanistan I realized we are watching the sunset of a dying empire.

Just not really my kind of shooter. Probably the tactical aspect, as you say.

Completely understandable. Sometimes I cant stand tactical shooters and prefer stuff like Apex or Battlefield. Since Valorant has dropped though it has easily been my most played game.

Hey, when Chinese government topples I will for sure go back to League of Legends and try Valorant but while they are committing such heinous crimes against humanity so audaciously I will do everything I can to not give them money and actively oppose them. Lord knows that I can survive without those games, there are literally thousands of other games out there I can play instead.

You know I love you Mista, but doesn't it bother you that you are playing a game from a company that is funding the extermination of your brothers in faith?

I would've boycotted the whole world at this point because everyone is plotting against me :)
I dunno, if your conscience is clear man, but I personally can't touch anything with Tencent in it with a ten foot pole. I had to delete some of my favorite games like Vermintide, League of Legends, Hearts of Iron 4 and had to remove Darktide from my wishlist...

The classic Valorant experience . Pure madness but in crack video game form.

I dont know why I waste my time following the pro scene but I cant stop. Here is great video about one of the best players in NA.

Does valorant still have that nasty software which requires admin level to play the game?
Yeah it does. Its a blessing and a curse. Because of this it has extremely low level of cheaters considering the population of the game but its also a major reason the game hasn't taken off in Korea. That being said the Korean pro scene is getting crazy.

I'm not giving a Chinese company a rootkit onto my pc. Not happening. It's unacceptable behaviour from any company (remember the furore when Sony tried that shit years ago, back when journalists gave a shit) but especially not when it is under the control of the CCP. Remember that in China any company is directly answerable to the CCP and must have party members in key positions. Nope.

I tried the game when it came out and a bit a few months ago. I think the gameplay is mostly fine but it's too dumbed down compared to something like CSGO or other shooters on the market. My biggest complaint is probably the map design that I think is horrendous and the fact that the pool is so low it means you're pretty much keep playing the same shitty maps.
Also the monetization is complete bullshit but whenever anyone voices any criticism of it there are a horde of riot fanboys ready to defend it.

All valid points but I disagree.

I absolutely love the map design and they keep getting better and better. Each map has a uniqueness that is baked into their DNA.

I will admit the pricing on the skin bundles is insane but since the game is free it's whatever. I have never bought a full set and only bought the skins for specific guns.

Overall their skin economy is phenomenal and creates a uniqueness for the super old ones, and in the incredible animation done by the devs on the top tier skins is by far the best of any skins seen in any other game. Find me any other skins in other games that have the death animations like Valorant and designs.

Also I don't get how you can say it is dumbed down when the skill ceiling has yet to be reached. I'll admit the spray patterns are better in CSGo and I prefer how they are not random.

New skins are about to drop....its a collaboration with Zedd who is an avid Valorant player. Shit looks clean and if the death animations are on point I will be picking this up. Might finally change my knife skin.

Played the new map twice. Holy shit is it crazy. The off angles are insane and make for some very unique plays. I am stoked for the map to come to ranked.

Here is a cool new trailer that dropped.

Today is the day. The king has returned.

Sinatraa was the MVP of Overwatch and considered the best player in the world then left the game while on top. He then came to Valorant in which he was considered Top 3 player and best Raze in the world. Dude was cancelled because his ex girlfriend played the rape card. Luckily he had receipts and audio. Sadly he was still kicked from the best team in NA and suspended for 6 months while they investigated him. That ban ended today.

On top of this the group stages for Berlin start today. Playoffs for the tournament starts next week.

We all know the king is Tenz. Why was he banned though?
Can you not read lol? It's under the twit.

And You are correct Tenz is currently the best in the world. Stats don't lie. Dude is nutty and so damn fun to watch.

Tenz actually took Sinatraas place on sentinels.... I always wonder if they would have been as consistent with Sinatraa. Guess I will never know.

Sorry I'm out and on mobile so I skimmed quick
I figured lol. The whole situation was he said she said high school drama but still cost the dude a spot on the best team and a lot of woketards still hate the dude even though he is now unbanned. It's my job to troll them lol.

Riot giving Valve a run for their money on production. Augmented reality map selection.... Amazing.

Worlds for Season 1 is right around the corner. I am interested to see what the viewer count will be for the grand finals. The Esports scene has been growing fast but I doubt it will do CS major numbers.

I want Envy or Sentinels to win.

Music video for Champions. Man riots animation team is so damn good. Getting me hyped as shit for the tournament.
