Sony is planning to make Uncharted 4 one of its next PC releases, according to presentation documents published as part of its 2021 investor day.

Speaking during an investor call on Wednesday, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan said that further PC releases would happen this year "and beyond".

I liked it the first time, loved it the second.

Its so much better going into it with the expectation of it been paced like a movie (with a action heavy last third). Also play on the hardest difficulty for some intense situations.

Subjective of course but Naughty Dog games are the best games money can buy... with the possible exception of The Witcher 3 😉. So jealous of people getting to play it for the first time.

The coop multiplayer is really fun as well.

Seems like a random pick for some internal presentation. I bet Trilogy and Lost Legacy are coming too.

I must admit as much as I love all the games, I'd be open to a mod that makes the enemies in 3 a little closer to the rest of the series in terms of the amount of damage they can take.

Uncharted Trilogy I'm not sure how realistic it would be. Blue Point did work on top of it but they are not Sony first party. Would this make it an issue?

It's rare for a full series to make its way to PC at once, only recent example is Kingdom Hearts I think. That been said please do it Sony and take my money.

It must. Because it's stupid to release 4 without the first 3 and expect people to get excited

I want Uncharted 2 and Lost Legacy. Two best Uncharted games to date
I could totally see Lost Legacy been included here considering it started off as Uncharted 4 DLC (I got mine with the season pass). Uncharted 4: Complete etc.

Good for PC. I didn't like the game much, but on console it was a technically impressive and very beautiful game.
Don't know how this stacks up against what graphics expectations on PC, but the more games the merries I guess?

(My dislike of U4 was that it just became like a michael bay movie. Everything was just getting bigger and bigger without any reasonable limits so it just started breaking the immersion. Like if you bought a comic book but instead of an engaging story, every single page was just another hero-shot from first to last page. Lots of people love U4 and that is fine, I didn't and that is fine too.)

Regardless of how I feel about true exclusives going away, it's pretty much:

So, I'm just going to look forward to seeing one of last gen's prettiest games be all it can be.
I think it is fine if they go to PC. I don;t see PC as a competitor to the consoles.
But I don't want them to port to Xbox or Switch. Just like I don't want Nintendo to port their first party games to PS or Xbox.

I think it is a good thing if the three consoles all have their console exclusives and their own identity.
Xbox is a bit weak when it comes to identity and exclusives but I have great hopes that the big purchases will lead to a whole bunch of top-tier exclusives for xbox.
It would be so boring if all the consoles were just all the same. Three strong consoles with three different and strong identities. That is what we need.

Single player is about 6 hours too long.

I never get those complaints when multiplayer games you grind for hundreds of hours or open world you do repetitive shit for hundreds of hours.

I'm glad to get more value out of it as these tent pole games are so few and far between. I'd maybe agree if it went on 50 hours +

Really didn't care for this game. Nice get for people who haven't got a PS4 lying around and want to see for themselves though.

This would mean porting the Naughty Dog Engine is complete and paves the way for The Last of Us 1 and 2.

The story pretty much ends. I thought the game was over. Then it went on and on and on...

Also, it's the 4th of the series in which the games are all very samey.

Wonder if they want to signal boost a new Uncharted or not. Also wonder if SONY Ponies are freaking out over 6 year old games hitting PC.

MP in this game was amazing. Would love to play that on PC with MKB.

Not the SP mode though.
Yeah I played so much of it. I did admittedly get frustrated with it once the pay to win stuff started happening. And also there'd be cheap combinations of abilities and guns and suddenly entire teams would all be rolling a single overpowered layout and it just stopped being fun to play for me.

Hopefully someone will mod the game so the story, esp the ending, isn't such SHIT. Easily the weakest game in the series.

On a technical level though the game is fantastic.

Uncharted Happy ending = fans arnt happy.
Last of Us Sad ending = fans aren't happy.

I suppose story's like these are highly subjective amongst different users though. 😊

I don't care about the happy/sad stuff, just don't insult me with characters that don't make any sense or storylines that are illogical. Yeah I know it's a video game and it doesn't have to be "oscar" material but for chrissake don't break your game rules just so you can end the game a certain way. The latter half of the game is pure bullshit from a storytelling point of view.

We definitely disagree but that's cool. What's the points you didn't like? The retro fit of the brother didn't bother me too much, I'm use to media pulling such shenanigans.

The last third I loved as it was all action. Was really tough on grounded mode, especially the ship wrecked beach.

I never thought the story in Uncharted games was worth my time, tbh, the scripted stuff can be fun but otherwise who cares? It's like Indiana Jones films, who cares about the story in those? Do I really have investment in him getting some artifact into a museum? Not really, lol, I just hope cool ass shit happens. That said I thought they went the safe route with the brother drama,
brother should have died or some shit near the end.

250% ROI?! Holy shit! That is insane.

I imagine the actual port work is about 5% max of a games over all development resources.

It's one of those situations where it's crazy high ROI but also might be financially damaging to the company in ways that can't be easily accounted for long term.

I've gone PC from console, partly because of this (which I love) but that's a significant loss of revenue from me to Sony (about 30 games a year I'd guess). I guess it depends how many people are like me. Also when the PS6 roles around how many will likely just get a PC going forward if that has access to nearly everything.
