Four unannounced English Trails games appear on Epic Games Store, including the Crossbell duology | RPG Site

The Epic Games Store has seemingly outed several upcoming English localizations for the Trails series ahead of a Nihon Falcom 40th Anniversary event tomorrow.

There are now store pages for The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure, The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie, and The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails. For those up to date with the Trails series in Japan, these are localized titles for Zero no Kiseki, Ao no Kiseki, Hajimari no Kiseki, and Nayuta no Kiseki, respectively.

All games are published by NIS America. We can get some details from the store pages, although we should note some of these might be placeholders or temporary. Trails into Reverie will have dual English and Japanese audio, while the rest will seemingly have Japanese voices with English subtitles. (Though the Nayuta page only shows JP voice and text, this is likely an error).

Additionally, Trails from Zero is listed to release in Fall 2022, while the rest are slated for 2023, at least going by these pages.

Note, this doesn't necessarily mean the games will be exclusive to Epic Games Store on PC, as Trails of Cold Steel III and Trails of Cold Steel IV are also available on EGS, in addition to Steam.

Incredibly excited for this.

I played about 50% of Cold Steel 1 and decided to go back and play all of the games. I'm currently working my way through Trails in the Sky 1 while not playing other stuff. The game is great, but the UI and graphics are definitely dated.

I feel you. I've tried going back to the first game many times over the years, but those PSP-era graphics and UI always kill it for me after a while. Just so outdated looking, and not in a good way. Sucks, because the game has a good story and writing, imo. =_=

2023!??? For Hajimari?? Are you fucking kidding me NISA!? That's XSEED circa 2011 Trails in The Sky SC levels of incompetence. So Kuro won't be out till 2025 i'm guessing and by that time Kuro 2 and MAYBE even 3 would be out!? Fucking hell.....

Those are PC release dates. I suspect we'll see a western console release before then.

GEOFONT partnering with NIS for Zero/Azure localizations

Good news, but as of today, the Geofont fan translation patches are no longer available on Geofont's website.

I'm glad I've downloaded them already.
