Some things we wished that came true and it eventually did. I'm still in awe about the Final Fantasy VII Remake announcement, and Shenmue III (disappointing game).

What else you waited for years and you find crazy that's happening?

As a middle age man, can't believe I'm finally seeing the real "adult" adaptation of the last chapter of Sailor Moon. 32 years after the start we're finally having the last chapter on June 30th.

Can't believe we also got sequels to the Mysterious Cities of Gold that started where the first season ended, 31 years prior.

And wishing we're getting a real adaptation of the manga of Akira (was announced 4 years ago...). Probably the best manga there is.

The Red Sox and Patriots winning a championship in my lifetime.

Trump being elected.

The Star Wars prequels. Ooooofff.

RE4 remake.

There's a bunch for life shit but these are good.

Mario Party Superstars was announced June 15th, 2021 for October 29th, 2021. Bought the game on the day of its release since I had been wanting an online MP game like that since 2005 or so

Samurai Jack. The final season was a total B in a series that held a gold quality on almost every episode released. The time between Season 4 and 5 was so great, that Genndy Tartakovsky lost his mojo. Don't get me wrong, the final season is still miles ahead of complete series of other shows, but in comparison to the totality of Samurai Jack, it is the weakest offered.

I am still pretty mad at the decline of Venture Bros. We may never get the final 2 hour movie that is needed to resolve the totally up his own ass Doc. Hammer series and I have wrangled my pining for the finale via my apathy of what we could expect.

So you're the one to blame.

Ha! If I am, I deserve the William Wallace. Before the Special Editions came out, there were rumblings about new Star Wars movies. I made my wish.

Man, I remember when the preview for Phantom Menace was having its debut. I bought a ticket to The Waterboy (which I had no interest in seeing) just to see the trailer. I was so fucking excited. We know the rest.

Games
Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition - Incredible.
Command and Conquer Remastered - Ditto.
Resident Evil IV Remake
Diablo IV - Hell of a lot of fun so far.
Dragons Dogma II - One of the biggest open secrets after Devil May Cry V released. One of if not my most anticipated games.
Dragon Quest XI: Echos of an Illusive Age S: Played it not knowing what to expect, got one of the best games ever made.
Homeworld 3 - Looks incredible.
Kingdom Hearts 3: Shouldn't have taken so long to release.
Final Fantasy XV - Ditto.
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age - Amazing game, happy to finally have it out in the west after hearing about it's improvements for so long.
Final Fantasy XVI - Possibly. We will see.
Kotor Remake - A money's paw until proven otherwise.
Mass Effect 2 - Some of the best atmosphere and side quests. Main narrative? Eh...yeah.
Mass Effect 3: One of the worst monkeys paws I've ever seen.
Metroid Prime Remastered - Holy shit this was a surprise.
Metroid Prime 4 - Ok looking like a monkey's paw but still.
NEO The World Ends with You - Never expected to get an actual sequel.
Psychonauts 2 - Ditto.
Tactics Ogre: Reborn - After hearing how legendary the orginal is.
Sins of Solar Empire 2 - Excited for this,
Epic Store bs aside.
Starfield - Looks too good to be true.
Witcher 3 - What a game.
Warhammer Total War Trilogy - Amazing.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader - Fingers crossed first RPG set in Warhammer turns out good.
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition - Qol changed allowed me to play one of the games ever made. Absolute masterpiece.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Xenoblade Chronicles 3
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess E3 Reveal - Still legendary to this day.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - in some ways.
Elden Ring - In other ways.

Movies
Star Wars Prequels - There was cheering in the theaters multiple times as the hypest shit went down, even if the overall quality was not so good.
Star Wars Sequels - Our theaters did not cheer except for the title crawl. Nothing much to cheer about at all. Shame.
The Mummy - 1999 - Possibly the best or at least along the top 3 adventure movie ever made.
Lord of the Rings - Did not appreciate these masterpieces at first until later on.
MCU until Endgame
Game of Thrones Seasons 1-3, maybe 4. Incredible both it's early movie tier quality and it's gradual decline and self destruction.
Justice League Synder Cut
Aquaman - I really like it. There.
Dune Miniseries is amazing and in ways still the Definitive version even if effects are terrible.
Top Gun 2 - Getting made, actually being arguably better then it's classic 80s predecessor. Insane.
Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves - Fun in an era where Hollywood and video game design actively consider a concept like "Fun" a bad thing.
Dune Part 1 and 2

How about, "Things you wished that would happen, but that you now wish hadn't." FFVII Remake, and Open-World versions of every franchise, would top my list.

Well, I guess there is a movie that wraps up Venture Bros.

Just ordered a physical copy to see how it ends.

Also ordered Primal Season 2, another Genndy Tartakovsky series.

Daniel Snyder selling the Redskins. Something I have wished for since I was about 20-years old and it finally came to fruition. You'd have to have followed the team just to understand how completely unbelievable this happening is.
