Will you settle for my review?Where's the continuation of the Picard review? I'm was recently watching the Major Grin comedy edits and there seems to be some insane stuff happening in the latest episodes.

Hello Friends. This is Mike. Wait. No, this is Rich Evans. I have been editing a very epic BOTW episode over the past week. It's finally done and hopefully should be posted soon. I have not had a chance to watch episodes 6,7, or 8 of Picard and have been avoiding spoilers. Now, that this edit is done I will probably watch those and begin work on the next Picard video. That or smash my fingers in a car door over and over again. One or the other. Stay tuned!
That explains it, for some reason I thought a new review would be released every second episode.Patreon update regarding that:
By all means, go ahead. Will you settle for my review?
Also amazed they didn't bring this up - Picard ripped off Highlander 2!
The final RLM review episode was odd. I somehow managed to put the plot together in their reviews of the first series, but had to consult other sources to figure out what seasons 2 was about. I enjoyed them fooling around because I like the guys. Had this been any other channel, I would have turned it off immediately though.
I think it's just because movies have replaced fiction novels in society. No one called it fart huffing when people analyze Steinbeck. It's kind of crazy how much meta discussion there is on entertainment media.
When did deep thoughts regarding mainstream garbage media become so in demand? Probably when we started filling the holes in our souls with corporate media.
This stuff used to exist for a singular purpose - to give you a sense of the quality of a thing, briefly, solely for you to be able to decide if it was something you wanted to spend your time with. You didn't care about the critic's deeper analysis of anything. "Should I see it or not" was the essence of the media review. Growing up, the entire field to me seemed to consist of quick newspaper reviews of things, Siskel & Ebert, and budding game reviews in magazines.
Now, there is so much fart huffing going on. We have shows with celebs talking about a show that literally just concluded. You have lifetimes of content available now, things like watching people watch things, watching people react to popular things, watching people talk about what they felt about a thing, etc.
Like that Mauler guy did over 9 hours on The Force Awakens.
Yeah, but there was 1000 times more depth and intellectual and philosophical complexity in classic literature than in mass-produced entertainment products. Which is why the latter is so popular while the former has become so niche.I think it's just because movies have replaced fiction novels in society.
