Thread: The Plucky Squire | Coming 2023
This looks dope

Yeah, doing the going across the pages thing was already in 'this is cool' territory, but then when he got to the end it was very much...

Straight to Steam and wishlisted.

First I was like "Oh the diversity at display, so important!"

But the game itself looks extremely charming and I love the creativity. Don't know if I'll play it, but it looks neat.

This looks surprisingly neat. It's also the first game from a new studio started up by James Turner, who was art director for Pokemon Sword & Shield and worked at Game Freak doing Pokemon designs for many years (also directed Harmoknight).

While I wasn't a huge fan of Harmoknight, I liked the idea, so hopefully he's able to execute well this time around.

The Plucky Squire follows the magical adventures of Jot and his friends - storybook characters who discover a three-dimensional world outside the pages of their book.

Jump between 2D and 3D worlds solving puzzles, boxing badgers, flying with a jetpack, and enjoying many more delightful and surprising mini-challenges as you become the hero of a living storybook.

Coming to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch in 2024.

I saw I had replied to this thread and had no recollection of what this was. Thanks for the update, although looking back the original trailer was way more interesting than what they just showed. Hopefully most of what was in the original trailer is still in the game and it didn't turn into a puzzle game.
