I'm actually dog sitting right now. My dog has never been around another dog as long as she has today. The dog I'm watching is also a dachshund like mine except she's a miniature dachshund.

I'll see if I can post a pic or two.

My dog likes me more than my GF.

When she goes to take her for a walk she won't go unless I follow. and if we go to the elevator and I don't turn the corner she tries to go back and will plant her feet.

If I am alone in the bed she will stay with me, but if my GF comes in the bed my dog will decide to go sleep in her bed and jump off our bed.

She is a lot more aggressive with my GF, bites, growles and barks alot more when they are playing.

And my dog is always around me. Like today we are both home but she is in the office under my desk with me but not with my GF who is in the living room.

My dog even chills with me when I am taking a shit.

If I leave she will cry. The other day we went to an ice cream shop and I went in to check it out and my GF stayed outside and my dog started crying LOL.

Because I'm extremely bored with three kids, maintaining a house, a cat, full-time job and a joyful loving and supportive wife (a real angel), we'll also get a dog. Will pick him up tomorrow.

We actually had two cats, one got died by the vet some weeks ago.

Now, we welcome Chip to the family:

One year old from a shelter. He's confused and scared right now after a long journey and being taken out of his environment, into a new family. But I already see that he's a good soul, very kind doggo. He's bigger than expected, which my wife doesn't like much but I fully approve.

This is Lulu shortly after I first got her in April. She was about 6 months old. Poor thing was scared of the new environment and wouldn't eat for 3 days straight, but she was immediately comfortable with me. Either had to be in my lap, or she'd run off and hide under my bed. Now she's a little fking daredevil with the zoomies. That damn tongue of hers lol.

More recent memeworthy shots when she was staring into the abyss of another dimension in my house as cats do.

Chip is scared of literally everything. We turned the TV on and he panicked. He needs time, never properly interacted with humans, I'm taking it step by step with him. Trying to teach him to pee outside is the first goal.

After a stressful day, he fell asleep. Such a good boy.

Chip made big steps forward, after being afraid of everything and never been on a leash. Now he listens well, is a joy to walk with, I already went jogging with him and he was by my side like a bodyguard all the time. He's still afraid of many things, but it gets better every day.

Only the peeing and shitting is still an issue, he doesn't do it on a leash, but it's way too early to let him roam free. Outside, it's all still too exciting. We're outside for two hours, no pee. Enter the home, instant pee on the floor because he feels safe here. Only worked in our garden when we unleashed him....but then he started some prison break shit, so we can't do that again yet.

Which is normal, it has only been a week. He needs some more time. Overall though, an incredible dog, and ... Scary smart.

My dog doesnt like to eat much. I think i ruined her appetite for dog food. I know its bad but me and my GF give her human food when we eat and now i think she got smart to it and waits for us to eat dinner to get food. She still eats from her bowl but maybe only late at night. But during the day her bowl is full. Then at 6 when we eat she is there waiting for us to give her chicken.

I hope i didnt ruin her pallet for dog food.

My family dog has similar issues. She stops wanting her dinner sometimes because she wants our food instead. Usually what we do is just give her a little bit of our food and then if she is still hungry after dinner she will walk over to her bowl and eat it.

I wonder if this has more to do with spoiling dogs with human food or just girl dogs being fussy. 🤔

Seems like its a thing with cockapoos. There smart from the poodle side. Basically she wont eat because she is waiting for us to feed her. The solution is not to give her human food for a few days and she eventually will start to eat her own food.
I swear though yesterday she started demanding food lol. It was dinner time and I was still chilling out in bed and she started barking at me as it to say hey lazy get off your ass and go eat dinner so i can get some scraps

Then we didnt give her any and she peed on the floor as revenge

She's such a damn baby. So spoiled. Will just plop on my lap and throw the leg up like here.... Scratch my belly, bitch. Does the same thing every time I go to bed too. Hugs up against me and just plop on the back...you better scratch me before you fall asleep. Also never mind the horrid cable management 😐
