That’s not the name though. Snyder basically was forced to remove it and put a placeholder in. The new name is coming beginning of next year and I’m scared of how bad they’ll mess this up lol. I have so much Redskins memorabilia and will just call them the Redskins. I still have Redskins license plates and I’ve been waiting for the DMV to ask me to turn them in.

Apparently Native American tribes were not satisfied by this. They pointed to the Atlanta Braves and the long years of the Cleveland Indian names representing their people as cartoonish stereotypes. The various tribes have been heavily protesting and plan to further protest over the next several days. As is, their angry chants have gone on for hours. Though it didn't help their case when it began to rain.
