Thread: The Boys: Season 3 - Official Announcement and First Look Teaser
Was Season 2 worth it? I heard they dipped into the everyone right of Mao is a Nazi with literal Nazis.

Seeing that I haven't seen glue sniffing Neo Nazi skinheads parading around since 1992, I am kind of over the whole, everyone not a communist is evil, trope.

Did Elizabeth Shue show bush? She is almost where Helen Mirren was at the same age years ago.

They went full on stronk females, lesbians and evil white supremacists. I like the premise of the series in general. But man, my eyes were rolling so hard multiple times. Don't know if I'll watch season 3.

Same boat, season 2 was a little too woke for me, some good moments but can feel that Amazon mandate being pushed, can't imagine season 3 being better, definitely can see it getting worse

There was still some good stuff in season 2, but yeah it's clear the direction they want to take it. And with Seth Rogen as EP and writer, how could you expect it to go any other direction?

There's a long intro to one of the episodes in S2 where a white guy is brainwashed by the news to want to go around killing brown people indiscriminately. Because we all know "alt-right nazi conservative Trumpers" are the ones who are glued to the media and believe everything they see on the news...

"Not Without my Dolphin"😅

Yeah, they really shit on modern culture. It's not woke so far. It's just pure lawnmower to pop culture grass.

Season is off to a very strong start. Im kind of glad they are releasing weekly. I think I'm tired of binging shows.

I bet the weapon turns out to be a nothing burger.

Kinda woke, its supposed to be a reflection of modern times, but they didn't want the Muslim superhero. If this was actually representing our current politics, they'd choose a trans binsexual Muslim black women

Home lander is currently the best written character on tv. Tonight's episode was top tier.

New episode was slower but tons of setup. Season 3 could easily be the best season. They just need to land the next few episodes.

I'm enjoying the show. Really good show as always.

Although I really didn't need to see a guy walking into another guy's dick.
Yeah that shit was a bit much but it did gross me out.

I am so glad the show is coming back for another season.

I turned it off when i saw where he shrunk and started walking towards! Was already down because of season 2.

Probably, I'm just turning into a prude with old age! It that scene was just too much for me!

Nah I agree with you, it was disgusting. It wasn't funny it was just gross.

NGL I'm probably in the minority but I think this season is a big step down from the last, and feels more pozzed than ever.

Butcher in general has been insufferable for most of the show. I have no idea why they made him such an obnoxious cunt. In the books the dude was a murderous psycho but he had charisma and was a likeable dude with personality.

In the show he's just "gotta kill em supes".

It's overboard and I see what you're saying. I think it's just a little bit too much with a gross out factor in edginess.

My main complaint is after watching episode 5, I think they're getting way too much into the real life politics. Now everything from antifa is being mentioned and 4chan and all this bullshit. I really didn't want all this real life politics especially when of course it's all going to be favorable towards the left. I'm still enjoying the show but I'm starting to get a little leery now.

Oh! It got more political this season!

I can watch overtly violence or sex in movie/shows! Especially if I knew that's type of show going in!

But I was not expecting that type of scene it's almost some kind of porn fantasy being shown! I've finished Sense 8 on Nextflix that had a lot of gay scenes men or women! So, I'm not a total prude!

This will likely be my last post in this thread! I usually don't post in subjects I got no interest in!

Good luck to those who enjoys this show!

That's what bothered me in the second season, so much on the nose politics stuff. Is S3 worse than S2 in that regard?

I would say it's the same but the BLM stuff is a little much. The boys has always done a great job of making fun of both sides. This season has been no different and has riffed on both sides pretty well. They have gotten a little more heavy handed and are relying less on tact this season but not enough for me to tap out.

The overall premise of the season is amazing. The TempV makes the battle between the good guys and bad guys super unique.

This was pretty good, maybe better than the first season. Actually went back and watched season 2 after binging season 3. Overall somehow the show manages to deliver and I am looking forward to season 4. Anyone know how long its going to go on for? I have to imagine that 5 season might be the max.

I didn't think it was that bad, just they do go a bit more harsh on the right.

Like they show that BLM stuff is more just corporations pretending or black people trying to take advantage (A-Train), but then the right wing people OTOH cheer on the murder of an innocent person. They try to play the whole right wing people are stoopid and say everything is fake news, but its the same on the left. Overall it didn't detract from the season, it was just a bit annoying.
