"Power is everything." Jin Kazama learned the family self-defense arts, Kazama-Style Traditional Martial Arts, from his mother at an early age. Even so, he was powerless when a monstrous evil suddenly appeared, destroying everything dear to him, changing his life forever. Angry at himself for being unable to stop it, Jin vowed revenge and sought absolute power to exact it. His quest will lead to the ultimate battle on a global stage — The King of Iron Fist Tournament.

Hope the games get a reboot tbh

Tekken lore is too convoluted for its own good at this point

Well they can try but it'll probably be crap. Tekken has yet to successfully branch out into such media, with three failed movie attempts and and two junk OVAs...Meanwhile this just looks cheap.

Yep. It'll be crap, or mediocre and forgettable.

Movies made for streaming are like fast food. It's there, it's watchable, but will anyone remember it next week/next month? Nope.

It was all of the above. Shit had no personality. First 3 episodes are boring as sin. The artstyle is fucking hideous and some of the characters are downright obnoxious and have completely different personalities from the actual characters. Nina is emotional and easily taunted, Xiaoyu is series and desperate to prove herself for being criticized as a female fighter (yes they went there). These are the EXACT opposite of these characters personalities. The fighting is just ok, with it being cool that theres some moves directly from the games.

The story is obnoxiously told. Fights are ruined by the CONSTANT FLASHBACKS. There will be flashbacks to shit people said or did 10 fucking minutes ago, Jin flashes back constantly during fights. You will hear the same line from Heihachi about the MIIIIIIIISHIMA. Some of the winners of some matchups are completely bullshit. Nina Losing to Xiaoyu? Law losing to fucking Julia?Paul getting completely mogged by Jin(OFC Jin was going to win bc he's MC but Paul should never have lost that badly)? HORSESHIT. Several characters are shown and mentioned but you never even see them fight. In fact a lot of these fights you don't even see, the winners are just announced on screen. Paul talks about fighting Kuma during the tournament but you NEVER see it. Anna makes a cameo in the tournament lineup, and you never fucking see her fight nor do they mention she's Nina's sister. Then there's characters that show up during the tournament whose presence makes 0 sense chronologically. What the fuck are Marduck and Steve doing here???

They even shoehorned fucking Leroy Smith into the show for no apparent reason. If they wanted black people to be present, why tf didn't they use the one who actually was in Tekken 3? Jack is completely absent.

Oh and the way Heihachi speaks is completely and utterly obnoxious. The dub on the whole is not very good at all. It boggles my mind that we still get dubs like this.

Don't watch this shit, and if you have to do it like I did, on the high seas. Do NOT give Netflix views for this trash.
