Article:
A third-person action RPG based on the 2020 graphic novel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is currently in development at an unnamed studio, Paramount Global senior vice president for games and emerging media Doug Rosen confirmed.

Speaking to Polygon, Rosen said the game will be a darker, more mature take on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, likening it to titles such as the latest God of War games, and said it will be authentic to the story of The Last Ronin arc, which is set in a future where only one of the turtles survived.

The identity of the surviving turtle, who fights using all four turtles' signature weapons, remains a mystery until the end of the comic. (To find out who it is, look it up or check out the graphic novel for yourself.)

According to Rosen, while the game will primarily only feature one playable character, other characters could be playable in flashback sequences.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin game is likely "a few years off," according to Rosen, but he assures that they have found the right partner to adapt the graphic novel into an AAA video game.

More details on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin game, and from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games in general, will be announced in the coming months and years.

It's a cool concept, but I don't think it will have the mass market appeal that a true TMNT game has. This just feels a lot more niche.

I got the 5 issue series CGC'd. I didn't care too much for the story but I hope they implement it well.

Who is the Last Ronin? In a future, battle-ravaged New York City, a lone surviving Turtle embarks on a seemingly hopeless mission seeking justice for the family he lost.

From the minds of the creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and based on the best-selling comic book event by Eastman, Waltz, Bishop, Delgado, and the Escorza Brothers: the official video game adaptation of TMNT: The Last Ronin.

Coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Well this is a long ways off with that bullshit trailer, the story is great, mature and dark.

If you haven't read The Last Ronin and loved TMNT ever you owe it to yourself to buy the graphic novel, the colors are amazing the art is beautiful.

Both Destroy All Humans remakes were extremely well done and enjoyable. With Black Forest Games developing this could be very good.
