Thread: Striking Distance (studio behind Callisto Protocol) are working on a new UE5 game
It's a shame Callisto missed the mark, I really thought a spiritual successor to Dead Space would find its market with the horror resurgence that is taking place.

Hoping their next game finds its audience as I like Glen Schofield and his passion for the medium.

Edit: upon looking at the review scores, it seems as though it was weirdly maligned. The game is certainly better that the 6s and 5s I can see. Though I am coming to it with the hindsight of patches and fixes, so maybe the stutter struggle was really that bad on launch?

Unfortunately Glen left the studio after the sales failure of Calisto.

The stutter on PC was super bad at launch. Every time something new happened, the game froze for like a second. They fixed it though, which is good. But that's not the reason for the low scores, it's the game not resonating enough with people, sadly.

Jup, the studio has been reshaped and Glen isn't part of it anymore. No idea what the team looks like now and what to expect. They have a really good foundation if they kept some of the talent, maybe it's for the better to try with a different leadership.

Nooooo, ah well. Wish the team the best.

I just scrolled through their team (they have everyone on their homepage with pics) and didn't recognize anyone from all the videos and interviews leading up to Callisto Protocol. Seems like they got rid of all the people who have been in charge previously.
