I feel like they missed that boat, it should of happened when Bloodborne launched. From is worth too much now. Sony was always brilliant at making select high value, relatively low cost acquisitions, well at least till the Destiny purchase, which was done more out of sheer panic.

I'd agree that Sony should buy From, but the problem is that it ultimately does them no good since Ryan puts all their stuff on PC anyway. What good are exclusives on a platform if they're only timed?

High profile games sell the most in the first year, by far. The highest interest is always around launch and the vast majority of people don't want to wait a year or more to play the games. The hype, media attention and general interest are enough to make it attractive. I don't think it hurts them to release the games on PC later.

I don't believe GoW Ragnarök will sell less now that people know it'll come to PC one day. It's a win win for Sony. Excited fans will purchase it on PS5 either way, and when interest slows down significantly, they cash in with the thirsty PC gamers and also get people talking about their game again.

Destiny will be multiplatform because it pays for itself to be multiplatform, just like COD, Diablo and TES 6 will be. But the VR versions of Destiny will be exclusive to PSVR2 or, at worst, exclusive to console VR, which is psvr2.

People give Jim shit but never look at the bigger picture. And nobody is forcing anyone to pay $70 for games. I'd rather have the day 1 saps pay more to get better quality games, than those games be given for free and see a real time drop in quality

Should've bought From, let them come up with the story, lore, gameplay mechanics, character designs, etc., and then let one of the Sony inhouse studios handle implementing it all and giving it a nice, shiny coat of paint.
 
I disagree with everyone that says From should've been bought out by Sony or any other big company.

Most of the time the talent in those companies don't stay. Bigger companies buying out others can cause monopolies which can be a detriment to consumers.

Game prices are already rising especially Sony games, Nintendo rarely drop their prices and how long will MS keep GamePass this current low price?

Big conglomerates are not your friend, stop rooting for them to buy out competition.

I'd say after the consecutive strikes that were Demon's and Dark Souls they had shown what they had in them.
Now it's too late.

From really needs to stay independent. Them being bought by Sony or Tencent would be really bad for the industry.

Nobody wants them to get bought out, but you have to realize it's likely going to happen at some point, in which case... who would you rather?
