glad to hear that sonics doing well and this random dating sim I've never heard of came out of nowhere though surprising

Does that include some stupid mobile Sonic-related game or something? That number doesn't really make sense.

edit - ok yeah it does. Didn't read before posting bc lol why not

Frankly amazed at this news. Wasn't it common knowledge that Sonic games have been shit for a very long time ever since he moved to 3D? But I'm glad the blue rat is experiencing a resurgence, especially with the surprise success of the movies.

Also amazed that Persona 5 sold more outside Japan. For such a game series with a heavy focus on Japanese culture and society, I thought it'd only attract a niche audience. I just hope this doesn't mean Atlus will adjust the series tone and writing to reflect international tastes. I'd hate for Persona to go woke.

You just know it fucking will.

B-b-but we must make our games for a global audience to succeed in the west!

Fact of the matter is the only reason people like Jap games is bc theyre made with japanese sensibilities and culture at the forefront. You nix that and you have the same kind of garbage you can get in the west and the interest is gone.

They'll think that they could have sold even more by changing various aspects to appeal to supposed western tastes, which will result in the dreaded wokism occuring. It's dumb.
