Shit he's at least a handsome dude. This girl is about as plain as you can get away with in Hollywood, and the one they have playing Ariel looks like she got hit in the face with a snow shovel.
I was just thinking that , while she is pretty Ive seen hotter everyday chicks walking around my town . Not saying I would refuse to go out with her but I've definitely dated much prettier ladies .

Hell yeah he does, but I like it. He works well in a comedy doing his one performance, too.
Check out a show called Corporate. It's the wooden plank as an evil CEO of a corporation but it's a darkish comedy.

I like mousey girls and unironically think she is cute, but she is not a European princess. Most of these movies the actresses look like a mediocre Comic-Con cosplayer that wandered on set while the real actress was busy on the couch with a producer.
The bigger question is how is this holding up Disney's obligations to shareholders to keep pouring money into flops and alienate more and more people? Disney+ flopped, their parks are not doing great, Marvel is slowly dying, Star Wars is basically dead. They have no ideas beyond *Pixar movie about periods* and *live action race-swap remake*. The company is slowly dying and all the money is getting sucked away by the Hollywood class until all that is left is a bloodless mouse mummy.

Rumor has it the dwarves are bandits and the Prince is a bandit not a prince. And its sort of a Robin Hood thing where the bandits steal from the queen and give to the poor.
So its not even snow white. I have to wonder what the title will be. Its a pickle for Disney because the brand is tied to Snow White but I am sure the DEI cat ladies cant stand the word White and find it racist. And if you dont have dwarves you cant do SW and the 7 dwarves.
I am predicting it will just be called Snow and they will remove the word White from the movie.
Seems like we will get Snow being the chosen one who is forced to live with the bandits. She unites them against the rich evil queen and she saves the male simp Bandit and defeats the queen and redistributing her wealth like a good communist. Throw in some Drumpf allegories and how Diversity is our strenght and voil you got Snow and the 7.

Barbie was sold on a lie. The marketing department did a very effective job at hiding the movie's nastiness up until opening weekend. I'm curious to see how it will do in week two.

I guess they aren't creative enough to make new IPs, in which they can realize all the woke concepts they want and make them popular. Instead, they're butchering existing ones, keeping their names, to ensure at least a base line of revenue it seems.

Critical Drinker touches on it at the beginning of his review, but the gist is up until the reviews started dropping the marketing made it look like a dumb silly thing.
Anecdotally this is exactly what my wife thought she was getting into too when she went to see it opening night with a friend for her birthday, and they weren't the only ones. Lots of women there with their daughters leaving the theater afterwards generally confused and disappointed. You'd expect something of a general girl-power "live up to your potential" message from a Barbie movie of course, but the sheer contempt for motherhood and men was rather a shock to them.

At least now the wokies can't claim that Disney doesn't have an agenda. There's absolutely no reason to cast a poc in this role other than diversity reasons. There's no ambiguity in the appearance of Snow White. It's right there in the name lol. This was a conscious decision.

Normies don't really look at writers or directors. They see a goofy colorful commercial for a movie about dolls and think oh this will be something I can maybe go to with my daughter and eat some expensive nachos for a while.
Word of mouth is what's gonna get through to people like that, so again I'm interested in seeing what week 2 numbers look like.
