S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl will launch for Xbox Series and PC on April 28, 2022, as well as via Xbox Game Pass for Console and PC, developer GSC Game World announced.

Visually great looking, love the atmosphere. RT reflections are obviously there, lighting looks very coherent and natural. I enjoyed the original a lot, hope that this game will be able to capture some of the same magic. The weapons sound very good in my opinion, which is important to me. Hyped!

Looks great throughout, even fantastic in parts, but I doubt the actual game will look like that, this is exactly what they did with the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R back in the day, showed "in-engine footage" that wasn't in any way representative of how the game looked or played and everyone got excited thinking that was the actual game, so I'll remain skeptical until we see someone actually playing a demo live.

These in-engine demos often end up being a lot closer to gameplay nowadays than back then, but the IQ combined with the ray-tracing seems like too much for most PC systems, let alone consoles. Happy to be proved wrong though.

I'm holding off until I've seen reviews from folks here. The other games were notorious for being buggy, I am trying to encourage releasing finished polished games not essentially a beta they might drop support for post release. Got burned pretty hard with Outriders.

Seeing how fantastic the Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition looks and how well it runs with full on RT GI, I am a bit more optimistic here..... Regarding high end PCs. It is achievable with DLSS. But the performance optimization phase is still coming, so changes will very likely occur. Especially because they primarily aim for the consoles.

This looks great. I really liked the first STALKER, though it was quite rough. Call Of Pripyat was fantastic and I loved it.

The *bleugh-bleugh-bleugh* in the trailer was hilarious!

I legit jumped when the mutant dude popped up...I hate those creepy assed MoFos something fierce.

Also, did they say 'I said come in, don't stand there' at all? I didn't hear it

Looks great. I honestly thought this game was cancelled long ago, it's been so long since its development was announced.
