Thread: Tony Hawk 3+4 remaster coming soon
Hype Thread
It's a great series, but this has been the most unoriginal, cash grab, easy buck generation ever.

So much so that I really don't have any problem playing the PS2 games upscaled at 1080p and, sometimes, with HD textures and feeling as though I'm getting the superior experience.

Curious which Activation studio is doing this one. I know for a fact its not Vicarious Vision (the studio that did 1&2 remake).

Awesome, I thought the 3+4 remaster was dead.

I lost all interest in 1+2 soon as I saw they removed some old songs and added a bunch of modern shit. The nostalgic soundtrack is most of the reason I'd be interested in revisiting these games.
Well, shit. This would be lame. The soundtracks are indeed a big part of the nostalgia I have for 3+4.
About time I'd say. 3&4 were my favorites.
Yep. Definitely the pinnacle of the series for me. 3 >> 4 >>> 2 > 5 (never played 1 and don't really give a shit about anything after 4).

I watched a live stream of TH4 on the OG Xbox last night. I'm interested but they better not gut the soundtrack like last time because that was a huge part of the games

Wake me up for THUG 1/2 + THAW remasters

Fuck, I forgot about this being a factor. Don't wake me up at all

The Black Ops 6 Season 2 Reloaded update has arrived, bringing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover and plenty of weapon balancing changes. On top of all that, it also introduces some new maps — including Grind.

This iconic map was first seen back in 2012's BO2 where it became a fan-favorite, before returning in BO4 six years later. It features a unique setting that's a far cry from the ruined battlegrounds the series is used to, as it takes place on a skatepark complete with ramps and rails.

If you head inside the shop area found in the map, you'll spot a sign on the back wall reading "03.04.25." Based on the way it's written, it's clearly referring to an important date.

It also features the recognizable Tony Hawk logo from Pro Skater, which could point toward an announcement on March 4, 2025.

The new Tony Hawk game being advertised first in Call of Duty is tragically hilarious when you realize that Activision turned Neversoft into a Call of Duty support studio.

It'll be Day 1 for me easily, but I really hope there's a physical release.

I probably put more time into the 1+2 Remake than I did the original games lol

I had picked up the 1+2 remake on PC a while back on sale for around ten bucks, but hadn't installed it. This thread got me to install it, and it's as good as ever, probably better (never played 1 originally, but some cool maps). I'd be hard pressed to drop full price on a remaster of 3+4, but hell I'd probably play it enough to justify it. 3 was so good back in the day. Fun games.

Have fun at the first competition lol

I had forgotten how it worked and tried to just get high scores in the remake and couldn't figure out why I was always losing*. THEN I remembered how it worked.

Funny, I got to the first competition last night and kept coming in 2nd despite massive scores. Wtf. Maybe I need to google this lol.

I'll hand them $50 very easily. Definitely grabbing this one, but I can't see myself going for any of the deluxe or collector shit.

If it's play anywhere, I assume this is coming to Game Pass, so I'll play it there. Don't gut the soundtrack

Haven't even watched the trailer yet, don't even need to.

The game isn't out for 4 more months, but I already pre-ordered it. I don't really like to do that, but this is an easy one. I hope they have the unlockable characters for 3. I wonder if they have to get rights for Wolverine and stuff.

Weirdly, I saw a bus with a huge "advert" for the reveal of this just this morning, which is pretty odd considering I am outside of London. It was pretty niche too, with just the logo and the date, not sure I would call it effective marketing but for old heads like myself it sort of shocked me to see some marketing of any kind for a revived Tony Hawk game.

I would like to see THUG get remakes, but I think their whole "attitude" and Jackass inspired stuff will have aged terribly.

I am just nitpicking but I don't like that they changed the time of day for Rio. Sure, it helps differentiate the different levels, but it goes against attempting a faithful remake, visually speaking. On the other hand, Tokyo, Canada, Cruise Ship, Airport, and Los Angeles look great. I didn't see Suburbia, my favorite level from 3.
