Reddit also grew to 97.2 million daily users over the past few months, marking a 47 percent increase from the same time last year. That number exceeded 100 million users on some days during the quarter, Reddit says.

Reddit's advertising revenue grew to $315.1 million, while "other" revenue reached $33.2 million on account of "data licensing agreements signed earlier this year." Both Google and OpenAI have cut deals with Reddit to train their AI models on its posts.

So does that make Reddit one of the most profitable porn companies now

People need to go outside and interact with flesh and blood people. We rely way too much on reddit and social media and all this other stuff. I have family who get political opinions and health advice from facebook:rolleyes:

A 47% increase in daily users in one year?

Unless people to the right of AOC have been let back on reddit and haven't been banned instantly, I don't see where the increase in daily users could come from. The permanently online userbase of reddit hasn't left and they don't really have kids/friends of their own to invite in, so who are these people who have just suddenly stumbled upon reddit?

Even assuming that people have just stumbled upon the porn side of reddit, why would that have just happened in the last year? I'm thinking that the new users are basically political bots that have been cheering on the Democrats and their aims for the last year. Which is weird because they'd just be preaching to the choir anyway.

People on reddit are so weird. You ever see the memes? I think 80% of reddit's user base doesn't understand the concept of humor. It's like when Sheldon Cooper attempts to make a joke on The Big Bang Theory and no one but him is laughing. Memes are supposed to be clever, these people think that just coming up with pictures to express something in the most literal way = humor

Reddit was always just copying off 4chan's homework. It is the Facebook of forums for the normies.

"The left can't meme" is just a true statement. And it's weird because some of the best comedy creators are leftist retards, but I guess they are the outliers of the group and the exception to the rule.

My sister in law has like no sense of humor whatsoever. She first doesn't understand that something is a joke, then she doesn't understand the joke on a conceptual level. So she gets insecure about that and then assumes the joke was made to make her look stupid, so now she's offended by the joke she doesn't even understand in the first place.
