the only game for ps ve 2 that I know of is the horizon game. Is that even released?

No surprise here

Edit:
Tbh I don't even know one game for quest. But I guess the new headsets have backward stuff

Here in Canada rhe PSVR2 cost more than the PS5. I imagine its a hard sell after you spend 6 bills on a PS to shell.out 8 bills on a accessory with almost no games and you cant really do anything else with it without the games.

Not surprisingly, but still another massive fuck up from PlayStation.

The Quest headsets and VR generally are also massively underperforming compared to expectations still aren't they?

I've not heard anything since late last year, but it's been a rapidly contracting market for several years now, with most users reportedly getting bored and presumably either selling their devices or shoving them in the back of a cupboard within a couple of months of first trying them on.

I think Apple's vision headset will be the last throw of the dice for VR. If that thing fails to take off with the rich and influential, then it's game over for another decade or two for the tech.

What do you think about Sony bringing their VR games to PCVR?

PSVR2 is great tech. Sony always had quirky unsupported products that I bought. It's just price is too high even if it's literally worth it.

What a weird metric, like...is anyone surprised that a cheaper vr product that doesn't require another $500 device just to work ended up selling more?

No but a 30:1 ratio shows what a bad value proposition PSVR is for many, if a struggling PCVR headset outsells it by that ratio.

It would kill PSVR2 basically immediately.

Now if they officially bring over the PSVR2 Headset and controllers to work on PC too, then they'd actually likely do better and actually shift some units. It would still be niche as fuck and likely never make it's costs back.

Yup. The amount of old and financially catastrophic Sony devices I have is ridiculous. The whole company seems to be staffed exclusively with mad geniuses and retards, with the latter sadly most often being the ones in charge.

Tbh I think the sales of both devices reflect the overall attitude towards vr these days, most people just don't give a shit. It's a niche thing and for the foreseeable future looks like it will remain a niche thing.

I am finally to the point as a Quest 1, PSVR and Quest 3 owner, that we are finally...MAYBE...on the verge of it having the ability to hit masses. Will it? Tough to say.

The question is if Meta will continue to keep dropping billions into it. The tech is finally there. Now its about the experience and refinement. On the software side, I dont believe in Meta. On hardware, I think they could get there.

You guys think with Apple entering the market will change anything regarding mass adoption? Isn't it dropping in a couple of weeks?

Absolutely not.

Even ignoring the high price tag Apple are asking, all VR is fundamentally answering a question no one was asking, and neither battery tech nor the comfort of wearing such a device for extended periods are anywhere near close enough to what they need to be for mass adoption, and have zero prospect of becoming so in the foreseeable future.

All I know is I have psvr2, and the potential of it after playing RE4VR is amazing, but I know i dun fucked up buying it with the major lack of support.

They don't even throw in psplus vr games any month.

Somewhat related i just saw a PSVR on clearance at Phamaprix(local drug store chain) for 500$ CAD. Thats down from 800$ CAD. Yes PSVR is 800$ CAD in canuckland. A PS5 slim with SM2 is 649 and digi stand alone is 579.99

The VR headset retails for 150 to 220 $ more than the actual system.

Cant lie though i was tempted to buy it just because its 300$ off but I realized i would never play it since i dont buy games and only play PS plus.

If you ever can play Re4 on it, its def a system seller, maybe not an 800 dollar system seller, but its worth something.
