Over 10 classic id Software and Bethesda games will today be added to PC Game Pass or the Microsoft Store.

Joining PC Game Pass today are Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Quake 4, Wolfenstein 3D, An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire, and The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard.

A new Game Pass Perk will also enable players to unlock all Champions in Quake Champions.

The following titles will also be available free from today on the Microsoft Store: The Elder Scrolls: Arena, The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall and Quake Champions.

And Heretic: Serpent Riders, Hexen: Beyond Heretic, and Hexen: Deathkings will be available to buy from the Microsoft Store.

Five years after its original release, Quake Champions is finally out of early acccess. The full release of id Software's free-to-play shooter coincides with several games arriving on PC Game Pass, which was announced during Bethesda's QuakeCon event earlier today.

First released back in 2017, Quake Champions is an evolution of id Software's classic arena shooter. Asked why it didn't receive a full release when it went free-to-play in 2018, community developer Joshua Boyle said Quake Champions wasn't ready.

"I'd say we were at a crawl [at launch last year] and we're at a walk now," Boyle said at the time.

Quake Champions has enjoyed mostly positive reviews on Steam, but it has generally failed to take hold among fans in a manner similar to other free-to-play shooters, even with the addition of familiar faces like Doom Slayer and Wolfenstein's B.J. Blazkowicz.

Quake Champions is actually pretty decent.

Despite all the fuck ups caused by Saber it would be decent if the matchmaking wasn't so incredibly bad. Not just slow but you can't continue a room after a match and are booted back to the main menu. It leaves you in constant downtime which lasts considerably longer than actual playtime. Plus last time I booted it up it would just throw you in matches full of bots. =/

Oh and will totally check out Return to Castle Wolfenstein, was thinking about replaying that game for ages but don't own it anymore.

Loved me some Hexen back in the day. Combined my DnD nerdiness with my love of FPS carnage.
