Will apply for most larger PC cases. Interesting finding, I'll try that out right now!

Should be especially useful for potential 5090 users with the GPU blowing extreme heat towards the CPU. This set up will make it less bad.


The big benefit with this setup is that it provides extra fresh air directly to the CPU cooler and thereby enabled us to significantly reduce fan speeds and noise levels while still maintaining the same CPU temperature.

I hope we see an industry wide support for the movement to smaller mff and sff cases. These large Pc cases are such a waste of space and ugly in design. Luckily Nvidia already seems to be moving that way with obvious intentions in the design of the 5090 to be a sff supported gpu.

Seeing the increasing heat and power demands, next gen Nvidia GPUs will come in separated refrigerators, being connected to the rest of the PC by a burning cable.
 
I miss having a noctua cooler. Gigantic and ugly af but was whisper quiet and temps were cool
