My wife is of heavy Ukrainian descent and potatoes are part of 90% of our meals. In her mind any meat can be paired successfully with potatoes. IMO potatoes are simply ok. I enjoy a good russet with a ribeye, but beyond that I am good.

Can't be mad, potatoes are great. Love mashed potatoes, although I eat it way too rarely. I really enjoy simply boiled potatoes where I just put some salt on each bite, super basic, but tasty. Also rather simple: Wash potatoes, make deep cuts on one side, but NOT all the way through. You end up with potatoes that have these deep cuts on one side, flapping open. Then you put a nice amount of oil on them, put them in the oven for 45 minutes, turn them 1-2 times, and that's it. Super delicious.
