Thread: PlayStation Portal Launches Later This Year for $199 (Remote device)
Got one! Nifty little device. I noticed I've been playing my Switch and Steam Deck in handheld mode a lot, so I figured I'd add one of these. Put a glass protector on it the moment it left the box, and tried some Sand Land. Gorgeous screen, and it's bigger than I expected.

Yeah I could remote play with the SD, but the ergonomics on that thing kinda suck. This is way more comfy than a Switch or a SD.

That's what I think people weren't understanding. "OMG you can already use remote play with your ipad so what's the point!!"

Well, no shit. But this is a remote play device that has the ergonomics of a PS5 controller. That's the point of it. I find myself wanting one of these here or there, but I have found remote play too finicky in the past to trust it for a dedicated remote play device.

Lag seems fine from what I can tell. It'll be perfect to play on the porch or while lounging in bed.
